With advancement in science and technology I think robots or some other form of automated machine systems will take over human beings by 2025 do you agree with me or not ....
Today even intelligent computer systems are in place in railway and airports providing all sort of information via touch screen ,ATM has eliminated need of accountants ,auto poilot systems r flying the plane, pioletless fighterjets r fighting in the battel field ......

Umm not really. Those machines / computers still needs human intervention and cannot operate on their own without us humans programming them..therefore if man will not allow it then there would be no such

Yes, computers need human managing, but there is softwares that can made the from several people job. There are many factories where robots have replaced the people who were working there. In the train stations from some countries you can get your ticket from a machine but not from a person like as before. Think at the communication from today, e-mail has almost replaced the postman. :)

It is very possible that machines will replace the people to complete the majority of work, but i never think that machines will replace human beings in the coming decades, after all, human beings are the creators of the machines...

Computers are the new wonders of the world but honestly computers can never totally replace human beings in all fields. Computers still need human touch to program the software used by these computers without which they are non functional. But of course they do ease human workloads in this fast growing industrial world.

I don't know if it will be that soon but the trend is toward replacing humans with machines. What will we all do for jobs? Where will we find any challenges? A person needs work, needs conflict and goals. No jobs means no money and everything would have to drastically change or collapse.
Besides, who would buy the goods and services the robots make? With no jobs, people would have no money. I can't think how this would be a good thing.

Hi, there ganesh!
Technological devices makes the human work easier, faster and convenient. With regards to what you said that robots might replace humans, I don't think that it would be successfully possible as robots and technological machines need humans for them to operate and to maintain there usefulness. Robots can't take care of themselves. They would eventually tear down without humans fixing them. So, I think, they are only very useful to us, humans but I don't think they could replace us. They can help us but they can't surpass our capabilities and every other things that we do possess. :)
You have nice thoughts. Keep it up! :)

Robots and machines are great for repetitive things. Sears even has an robotic lawn mower much like the robotic vacuum cleaner. They can process but not reason. If there is an emergency it can not react unless it has been programed to do so and to foresee every emergency is difficult.
No they will not replace humans.

No, and so called machine intelligence is far from being a reality. Until there is even some vague idea of how to solve the 'Frame Problem' no real machine intelligence can be envisaged
all the best urban

Hi Ganesh, No, I don't think that machines will ever replace human beings. Machines need human beings as they have no knowledge except what we give them, they cannot think for themselves. Yes machines will do even more work and cars and planes may be using auto pilot soon, but without humans, machines can do nothing. Blessings.

First of all machines doesn't have any brain. Only thing what they can do is , they cam make things faster. But who will operate them ? A human being right? So a technically sound human cannot be replaced by any of the machines. Who will maintain these machines ? again humans.

hellow,
there is no way one can compare human brain with intelligent robots.Robots are programmed by humans to do repetitive tasks and humans are the ones who operate them.human brain is powerful and we should not compare it with illusions we see from movies that one day robots will concur humans.its never gonna happen..

Hi Ganesh. I think there is possibility that robots will replace human by 2025. In the time being, modern technology is emerging so fastly this time being. So its not surprising that robots is just normal in our daily life.
But you know, Im somewhat afraid that robots would invade us. I wish that wouldn't happened.

i think robots will replace all repetitive work that used to be done by using human beings, but i think on creativity area machine will not replace human beings.

Despite the direction the digital age is going... I do not honestly believe machines will take over our planet in the near future. You're talking less than fourteen years considering 2011 is more than half over. In 100 years, that sounds like a more likely possiblity... but even so it is humans that make and use machines... therefore... the likelyhood they'll replace them an impossiblity.
Humans are going to be needed in some form or another. It is humans who create things, and humans who can take it down. Some technological advancment is expected, but never to the point where machines do day-to-day tasks. Though many comics, television shows and movies toyed with this "world without humans" theroy. It's just a game not meant to be taken seriously.

Would that be a scary thought. Sooner or later, our job force, I mean available job forces will be replaced by these machines, and computer operated device. If you see it in the supermarket, they will use these self - service cash register to do the payment. Subsequently, people will scare that machine will take place of them.

sure they will eventually, most human will be replace but not all, because machines need us in order to maintain and reprogram them, we will use less number of people working in the industry maybe because of these automated machines, let us see an example assambling a car, all the weldding is made by robots they make a few dozens at day, operated maybe by only one human, these robots had replace many people doing this job faster than a bunch of guys, or do you remeber recentrly no more than 10 years ago type writers were replace by computer and many people were left behind or relocated because they did not know how to operate a computer.

I don't agree with that idea.technology is developing year by year but still can replace human.people develop technology to make life easier and time faster.even technology doing great by reduce human effort but human still the leader..

Well, during my life I've seen how machines are taking jobs away from human beings. It seems that this trend is increasing in the world. A large numbre of tasks are being made by robots and computers. How far will be this? I don't know, but I hope not much more.

HI ganesh! I agree with other mylotters out there. Machines won't replace human beings as we are created as the highest form of creatures that God created. On the other hand, what bothers me is when the time comes that people go too lazy to learn and study because of these instant, easy and fast machines. But I still believe in human power and knowledge, specially when manipulating HI-tech equipment, in that case alone can prove that human can still be dominant to these machines. :) Interesting topic anyways:)
