Will Arsenal sign Benazema from Real Madrid?

Unless the asking price of Benzema drops, it is unlikely that Wenger will fork out such high price. Yes, they need a striker who will just put the ball into the net after some brilliant buildup play, but the attacking department is not where urgent attention should be. Wenger should focus on getting a no-nonsense beast of a defender instead. If he gets that, then a marquee attacker signing like the Frenchman will be a bonus and will definitely be welcome by the fans.

I hope Arsenal does not sign Benzema. From what I have seen of Benzema, he is too much over blown as a talent. I do not think he would be great move forward for Arsenal. I would rather want Arsenal to invest a bit more on the Goalkeeping and the defense options now that Clichy is also out. Cheers! Ram

i dont think that benzema is wenger criteria... if wenger want to this player, i believe since he is playing for lyon, wenger must buy him...but he never give attention to benzema so i think this rumour is 100 percent wrong

It would be a great solution for Arsenal and Benzema as well, but Arsenal doesn't seem to be a team to spend too much on a single player. But if they will sell Cesc they will have plenty of money and then the deal can be done. But I think that Gervinho is better than Benzema and Arsenal has got him for a pretty good price, 12 million euros.
