Every one here will laugh but no problem.
I just love rain and will be waiting with lot of eagerness.
As the season starts few rains give us a hint of their arrival - and sometimes in the season if there is a good rain I walk at least a couple of furlongs in the rain getting drenched, with all the feelings that this is the real blessings of MOTHER NATURE. such pouring of water you many not get any where isn't it..
Please share your thoughts and experiences if any.

When I was young I've always loved it when it rained. Me and my brothers would just run outside with our waterguns and blast anything out. But now if we did it, we would look like mental hospital patients.

Yep. The things that adults can do these days are quite limited already.

I do agree with you totally, but there are certain adults who would like to regain their past moments and enjoy life.
Enjoying is totally different which varies from person to person. We cannot compare.
One that is good is bad for another.

Yes as you say the younger age is the most suitable age for enjjoying rain, and this take su s back to the most memorable days ever s[emt with making boats with paper and leaving to watch which one goes to a long distance...
Really, those actions mentioned by you would surely create an atmsophere that we ran back from a mental hospital ....lol..
Thanks for your kind response....

Very glad to go through your response which made me to remember my schooldays wherein I too faced such situations a couple of times. But those were somewhat different days and because of childhood moods it was funny.
Any how, after certain age one always tries to safeguard one's self.

Hi, busybee10. You are better then me. For me to get drenched in the pouring down rain, I would feel as if I am drowning. That is just too much of rain for me. I also worry about catching a cold from all of this rain too. I think a pouring down warm shower will do me just fine.

OK cream97 ,what you say is also correct and the drenching in rain is truely liked by some one and some are afraid of getting drenched and also are worried if they are attacked with cold.
Any how, getting drenched in rain totlly - with all the clothes becoming wet is something a different experience isn't it.
Even yesterday there was a total downpour near my house and I walked slowly just like a tortoise and enjoyed the natural downpour free of cost.Nextime, you try --it is something unique...

Nothing to worry because now I am 60 + and have seen the odds of life. I have become seasoned with the ups and downs...if any thoughts come I share it with every one where the distinguishing between age does not come...at all.
Hence, no problem at all - I hve understood your situation..
Enjoy life.. as it is....with less desires.
That is a beautiful life...

Ok - I have understood that - but does it regularly rain at your place...???
Of course - I can understand as jobs get changed the mood also varies and if it is an outside job instead of office I know how difficult it is...

I love rain! I love running out in it and dancing around. I think that rain is beautiful, breathtaking even. I just love that feeling of being out in the storm and watching the rain pour down and run all over me. I love splashing in puddles...
Yes, I'm an "adult" but I don't think that should mean that I should stop seeing beauty and wonder in playing in the rain.

I like walking in the rain too. Sometimes I go out and walk around the neighborhood when it's raining. I find it kind of peaceful... not as fun as dancing in the dance but sometimes I don't need fun, I need some serenity. I think it's a joy that shouldn't know the bounds of age! I don't see myself growing out of it.

Good and appreiating thoughts... well expresed yes, as you say age does not count at the end of joy. Joy is something different which boosts our energy....and enjoying walking in rain is something heart touching.....
One who practiclly does only knows the real joy of walking in the rain.

That is really great....!!Enjoying rain is something different which only an individual can understand that - getting drenched in the rain and feeling the shiver of cold.
Wov, that is nice to note that you love splashing in the puddles..
It is so nice to note that being an adult you still enjoy.
Enjoyment does not distinguish either young or old - it is an individuals taste.
And, getting enjoyed in the rain is something unique..
Even me too I love to walk and enjoy in the rain.

All my life I have loved the rain, I get really eager when I find out there's going to be rain coming soon. I especially love getting drenched in the rain, I just feel revived. I especially love it when it rains on a hot summer day.

Beautiful - that should be one's thought when the nature prepares it self to rain. But many people I have see who get ready to run away and find a spot where they shelter themselves and avoid to walk in the rain..
Nice to hear that you love rain ...even me too.

Yes EstiiBabii, what you say is right - the same point I have in my mind in shower they enjoy up to the brim in all ways but just a few drops of rain they start running as if something horrible is happening..I laugh myself witnessing these scenes.

I think people hide from the rain because they are afraid of getting their hair wet or being soaked n wet. But, they should just ask themselves what's the point of betting afraid of getting wet. We get wet in the shower and that's not a problem.

I ran out into the rain 2 days in a row now just to enjoy the feeling. It has been so hot in my state that they rain was a joy. as soon as it started raining 2 days ago (for the first time in weeks) I said to my dogs.. "lets go out and play in the rain" and we did. It only lasted 10 minutes. but it felt nice. and again it rained very briefly but I went out in may garden and started tending to my flowers in the rain. It felt good to just stand in it.

Wov... very n ikce to hear that...
That is the real enjoyment in life...people hesitate to go out in rain and are afraid to get wet. After all it is a Natures gift and a natural pour of water - why do people do this...
I liked your movements in the rain - good and try once more if it rains and experiment to walk atleast for 5 to 10 minutes in the rain....
thanks for your good and transparent response...

If it is a hot day and the rain comes, i am happy to get drenched. getting cooled off by nature can be a good experience. if I am hurrying to get somewhere and don't want to get wet, it can be frustraating to have the rains pour down on you.

OK - Vidhyaprakash, your personally do not wish to get drenched, but Nature has given you a gift to get drenched - that is life's WONDER....
Nothing to worry - because everything is well planned and this planning we do not underswtand only after the result we understand.

Hence, move as per the situations dashingly without worrying for the results...

i also love to get wet in the rain but that was when i was young. now, i really don't want to do that again unless my other friends would do it. haha. at times, i hate it when it rains specially if i don't have an umbrella. my clothes get wet all of a sudden and wet clothes are not pleasant to look at. i love rain when i'm just at home and wanted to relax. it's a way for me to get some sleep because hearing the rain pouring easily puts me to sleep. anyway, there's nothing wrong if you still enjoy getting wet in the rain, at least you have something to enjoy, right? =) we have different kinds of interest and there's nothing wrong in doing it..

Your response just made me curious to check your age and I found that you are still young and this is the right time to take the pleasant moments of life - enjoying everything which comes on the way.
OHHH - in this age I just enjoyed what ever came towards me not distinguishing anything. My aim was just to enjoy.
And getting drenched in water - no problem it is something natural.
Any how my suggestion is enjoy life up to the fullest.

OMG...i thought i was the only person on earth who would purposely to be in the rain and get wet. The replies here amaze me. I have also read that rain water can actually heal sickness. I in the morning i wake up and it rain then i would continue to be in bed and enjoy listening to the rthym of the rain and if its rain in the afternoon i will drop everything and be on my bed and close my eyes and enjoy the rain while listening to music. If on the road, traffic will slow down and have every excuse to be late for work or meeting because it is raining cats and dogs.

I enjoy being drenched by the rain if I'm on my way home or I am at home. I also "harvest" rain water for my garden. Rain water is very rich in nitrogen from the atmosphere, especially when there's lightning activity. Because of the richness in nitrogen, rain water is good for vegetative growth of plant. Rain is God's and Nature's foliar fertilizer.

Vow, very nicely expressed : I just like it.
Very happy to note that you get yourself drenched in the rain and also "harvest" rain water for my garden.that is a great taste....
And as you say "Rain is God's and Nature's foliar fertilizer."

That sounds really wonderful. I wish I could get to it sometimes. Then it will bring me back to my childhood memories. But I just can't find the time to do it anymore. Besides, it scares me a lot and won't let my daughter to go out play in the rain because of thunderstorms that brings out these lightnings. But I wouldn't really mind doing it with someone I love. And I love my daughter and I thank you for reminding me of the feeling. Perhaps I should get away from the fears sometimes and try doing it with her. But I will get really cold then.
