Do you know anyone who lives in the past?

I mean figuratively speaking. I mean where the person sense of time seems to be slow. They would not know current events until it become history. Their mind can't comprehend the present and usually focus on the past. I wonder if to that person years seems like days to them. I did hear how some people lose track of time where it seem only like minutes even though hours have passed. I heard of others who dwell on the past and seems to always think about the past instead of the present.

I for one try to move forward with everything, but I know two people that live in the past. It's my mother and then my grandmother. My grandmother thinks old fashioned as my dad once said to me. She thinks that things haven't changed much since she was a kid. But they have changed. It's 2011, not 1940!

I know a few people who are like this. Most of them are on the upper limit of the age bracket though. I think people tend to dwell on their youth. As young people we are naturally curious about changes in the world however as we grow older we tend to be resistant. Maybe because as the world change day by day we tend to realize that we are being left out as we are growing older. Just like those who are in their mid 50s or 60s today. Since the boom of technology is very rapid and dynamic most people on that age bracket are reluctant to use these new technology. In contrast to those young adults (20s to 30s) who are so enthusiastic about these changes, wanting to absorb every single new thing that they can find.
