Things Come in the Right Time

I think this saying is so true... There's been a huge twist in my life last night, a really huge one. The very first company I worked for (which I worked for almost 2 years until..) was what I can say my first heartbreak. I used to work in the office and I am always loaded w/ work. I am paid daily back then. I became homebased and before that my boss told me that I would be paid per line (based on how much work I did). I was so excited to receive my first homebased payment but I was really heartbroken to see that not only is it per day, but it has been decreased because I got sick absent. I was really disappointed. I worked longer hours but the payment is same. I quit. But they reached out to me and said they will pay me per line.. but guess what? They calculated it in the way I would receive the same amount of payment. Not only that. They limit my files. In fact, there has been a month where I almost got no work at all! What they will do is make me wait, then text me at night to do leftover work. It's so depressing. This is also one reason why I thought of getting a degree at college. However, since my first resign, I applied at another company. I was an oncall worker meaning I'll work for them when they need me. They got better terms, higher payments, and more respect to me. Last night, everything changed. I waited for hours for my boss to give me files. I waited and went offline after waiting for almost two hours since it's going off time already(5 p.m.). He texted me at 6:40 p.m. saying "Can you work?". I did not reply. I know those are just leftover files. At 9:40 pm, I received a message from the other company asking if I can do full time work w/ them. I was surprised. When I first resigned, I must admit I became really sad. I cried for days because I thought it was all my fault. But this time, I resigned with happiness. Why? Because I know they can't blame me. I have a better offer at another company and they pushed me to leave. I resigned right that moment after confirming w/ the other company. I know they must be shocked and asked me if I can stay a little longer. I said no. Why should I? I have waited for almost one year to get a shot from the other company. I won't let it go now. What do you think guys? Do you think this is really the right time? Do you think things have their own right time? Did I decide right?

If I were in your shoes I would have done the same thing. There is no point of hanging on to an employer who manipulate employees. When there is a good offer go for it as good opportunity does not come everyday. I wish you all the best in your new job and hope you will find contentment in your new environment.

Hi! Thank you so much. You're right. Opportunities are not present always. And when that comes, we should grab it right away. I have no good future w/ them so why would I stay? My talent and abilities have been appreciated more on the other company and they gave me the opportunity, so why wouldn't I grab it? Thanks and happy mylotting!

You have to decide what is best for you and then stand by it. If the first company wasn't treating you right and they wouldn't give you better work then going to the second company was smart of you. I wouldn't work longer either. You have to set boundaries and obviously the first company didn't respect yours. I applaude you for leaving and going to the other company. I think it was normal for you to feel alittle sad.

I wouldn't be sad either. But you are working for the second place now, right?

Hi! Thank you.. Right now, I don't feel sad but happy. I felt sad the first time I quit (but eventually went back) because I thought it was all my fault. But now, I'm sure I've made the right decision. I think the fact that I stayed a little longer showed me that I should not be blaming myself in anyway and that I deserve something better. Thanks and have a great day!

Hello bannybanzie, Perfect timing indeed, by not getting the best pay for tons of loaded work, it really gives you a demorale thing to your work. It was a perfect opportunity indeed to get a chance to work to another company and challenge yourself to a new environment. It's a good thing GOD has answered you're prayers for some reason. besides, it's you're life that were talking about here.

Working online like that can be hard. I know there are many people who have faced this challenge and many more over time, and it really is a matter of patience and being there at the right time. But I know many others here and elsewhere who have taken on with more than one company just to make ends meet until something proves to be really a lot better and more busier for sure. I think this is one reason I am glad I have a job, because I would get too frustrated not knowing if any extra $$ is going to be available somewhere for me.

Firstly congratulations on the offer for the better pay! Yes I believe you did right as it is not fair they make you wait and then only call you so late at night. This is completely unfair for them to think that you can stop everything and work for them at moments notice. I also feel that sometimes in life things happen for a reason so the timing is a factor for me too. Good luck and do hope all goes really well with the new job.

Hi! Thank you so much. Yes, I think things really come on time. When I resigned back then and really go, I think until now I'm feeling bad and thinking I did something wrong. But now, I can clearly see that they are not the people I would want to work for and with. Also, there is no room for improvement there. I will be what I am there forever. Unlike the other company, there is room for growth. I know I'll be happier. Thanks and have a great day!

Life is like that. Just when you are about to give up, something good happens. I think God has already given you the prize, because you have been so patient with the other company for a long time, yet you are still as if begging from them. He knows that you deserve a good work. Don't forget to thank God.

hi, i think that saying is really true and really happen to everyone, actually it happened to me so many times and i really believe on it that things come in the right time,we should not push thru a one thing just to happen what we want, all of them have the right time to happen and come.
