We Are All Farsighted!

Just got a nice quote message from one of my friends. Here it is: We are all farsighted, we give importance to those things that are far from us, while neglecting the things that are close to us... only to realize their value later when they are out of reach again. What do you think guys? I think it's mostly right. most of the time, this is what happens to us. We put too much value to what we don't have, but when we lost what we used to have, we realize we actually had better than what we wanted. But it's too late.

Your title is misleading. Yeah, I think we are all farsighted. We look for things we don't have then if we happen to have reached that something, we'll be yearning for something else.

Yeah. That's why we need to give value to what we already have.

Yeah.. but just a little misleading.. Humans have the tendency to just want what we don't have and then not like what we have.. It's a cycle. until we realize we have lost everything that is best and left with nothing.. Thanks and happy day!

Yes, Banny. All of us are like that. We forgot things that we have, we never feel glad for what we have and we always asked for more. We see things that we don't have and we never appreciate things that already in our hand. We see the good and bright side on the other side, but we never see the light behind the dark on our side. We forgot about it. Is it because we are greedy, ungrateful, yes, I think that is true. Till we lost it, only then we regret and feel guilty for things that we have wasted just like that. So we should treasure everything we have and feel grateful for things given to us.(^^)

When it come to people nearby we tend to forget their roles in our lives, when they leave us only then we realized how much important those people to us. Even if we owned and have all things it will still not enough. That is why in some case we should be glad and contented with just a small result rather than nothing at all.

Hi! Yeah, you're right. It applies not only to material things but even to love ones. We never get contented and keep looking for more, then in the end we realize how stupid we have become. Thanks and more happiness to you!

We all seem to want the unattainable and when we get it we don't want it anymore. Those things close to us are taken for granted until they are gone. It is down right silly to do this. Life is a complex enough matter with out pushing what is close away and not taken it all more seriously.

Hi! You're definitely right. We always want something "high", but once we have it, we realize it's not what we expected it to be and then we realize what we once have and lost are better..

Sometimes I think that is true. I know I take a lot for granted and appreciate(doesn't mean I like it) being brought back to reality and what is important.

That is absolutely correct! People take things or people who are near for granted. But once they leave us or taken away from us, we all sulk and regret at its lost. We are all dreaming to get something that is far more impossible to get, we are not always satisfied with what we have at present. I guess, most of us is like that!

Yeah, most humans, and almost everyone at some point, is like that. We look for what is not in our reach then not give importance to what we have. Then we realize how important that thing/person has been only when it's late. Thanks and have a great day!

Well that's true. I agree with you. There is also a saying that you will not know the importance of the thing unless you lose it.

This is human weaknesses always taking things for granted. Once gone we are left with regrets and chasing for something not within easy reach can be disappointing. Both missions are not accomplished and we are at the losing end.

Hi! Yeah, we always seem to see something bigger ahead so we tend to leave what we have and in the end we are left with nothing.. Thanks and happy day!

You are right. All of us tend to do just that, especially the government people who are trying to change people attention on themselves would try to poke an issue that is so far away from them.... Well, I am not the exception.

It's a very nice quote with a very deep meaning. Yes, I agree in this quote. I think this is just how things go for us to learn but sadly we always learn if it's too late already. But the great thing is that we became aware and we are able to appreciate what we have for those who are able to experience this.

Yeah, it definitely means a lot and so true to human life. Just like another saying says, "Regret always comes late". And sad when we regret and there's nothing to do anymore. So we must be more appreciate and careful, right? Thanks and enjoy your stay here in mylot!
