Hi Emerald20, Long distance relationships are like testing your trust to each other. Its hard, but if you trust your partner then you both will make it through. I have been in a long distance relationship. At first it really went well. We both can feel the essence of love, but because of the distance we both have lost time to communicate to each other. Sadly we've ended it up than keeping it. I'm glad I'm free and single now! :)

I was 21 years old and on my trip around the world. I had been working in Cairns as a collector for an environmental charity. It became too hot to dress up as a koala in the wet season. I put my washing up on the line in the backpacker hostel in Cairns. Oh, my! It all got stolen and the next day I was catching the train to Brisbane. Instead of going on to Darwin I loved it so much I was going back to Sydney. Amazingly on the train I met a tall, dark and handsome man. We got chatting and I found out about him. He liked animals, was vegetarian and enjoyed traveling overseas. He had been to Asia, South America and Europe. His friends invited to me stay with them so I accepted. Me and the guy ended up falling in love. I stayed with him for a couple of months. I did get back to Sydney for a couple of weeks and coming back to Brisbane he came to meet me at 5 in the morning. We went up to Cairns for New Year and in January I carried on my trip. My visa had its end date approaching. I still wanted to see South East Asia. He came over to my home country in June and in November we got married. Our marriage lasted six years and he never got used to the cold climate in my home country.
