$50.00 for a bike? I think that's a pretty great deal don't you? I was looking craigslist and saw it, now I have $39.00 but need $11.00 more, I'm going to see if I can't borrow it once the person I need to borrow it from wakes up. I want to call and inquire about it but don't want to sound stupid, I suppose I should call and let them know I'm interested, that I have the intention of buying it if I can scrape up $11.00 more and see if I can't set up a time to meet today or tomorrow. In any cae, I'm excited. It's a schwinn bike and looks to be in really good condition. It also seems to be a bit better then the one I was going to buy through layaway, I'd be saving more and get things done faster as well. I think God showed me this as I was just laying in bed, having no intention to look on craigslist. So wht do you guys think? $50.00 for a 26" Schwinn bike?

That sounds like a really good deal to me! I am glad to read in other responses that the owner was willing to take the $39 that you had for the bike. That was really nice of them since the bike is going to help you out so much.

Yes it was very nice of them, and I am really glad that they were willing to do that. Now if the weather would be nice but NOT stormy. I need to call a few places and ask if they are hiring / check in on my applications. There is one place that just changed names, I'm sure they must have changed hands because the title of the restaurant changed so drastically. It's a good bike ride away, but I'm willing to do it and have a friend who lives close by the place as well so....

I think that's probably a great price if it's in pretty good condition. I bought my little foldable bike for about $60 bucks and I ride it everywhere I go. I can't live without a bike! Good luck to you on the $11!

A foldable bike? Could you provide a picture? I've heard of these but never seen one. In any case, I got the bike minus the $11 and for that I am greatful.

$50 for a bike sounds a real good deal indeed. Well I hope you get it! Craiglist is really a good place to find good bargains. I also do go to that place once in a while to find good bargains. Speaking of bike, I would like to share that my husband is crazy over bike. He would change bike one after the other and I really don't understand why. At any rate come to think of it I think he deserves it because he is working hard. I think that is his way of rewarding himself. He now have two bikes and if you care to have a glimpse of them then here I attached a photo.

Those are nice looking bikes! The first one there, looks a lot like mine, except mine is a female bike, and is a light purple in color. I think bikes are a great way to exercise. Of course craigslist is a great site but we have to be careful we're actually getting a good bargain, or not giving our items away for too cheap!

$50 for a bike is quite reasonable. In my country you can get good bike fjavascript:__doPostBack('ctl00$cphMainContent$btSubmit','')or $50

I am sorry I don't think I understood part of that. I also have got the bike already, but I've got it for $39.00 instead as the person was generous enough to sell it to me for cheaper.

It sounds like a fair price for a bike. I trust your judgment that it is a good price for that bike. I wish you all the very best in your purchase for the bike you desire. It is lovely to take bike rides. It is also good for the environment and good for our health riding a bike.

I have already gotten it, and for even less then they had asked for. Yes it is great for the environment, though it does limit when one can ride a bike, provided they mind getting wet. I need a job and thus need a way there, I imagine it will also help me stay healthy and for that I'll be greatful. The bike is a schwinn, which are good bikes.

Sounds like a good deal to me. My husband and son just bought new bikes around Christmas from WalMart. Spent $80 on my sons and $110 on my husbands.

They are still about that price at the stores. I was going to get one from kmart on layaway but after I got the money back from games I sold, something told me to get on craigslist and I am sure glad I did.

Schwinn has always been good quality. I hope you can get it. It may need a little bit of tweaking, you know, making sure all parts are tight etc. but it is certainly worth the money and it will help you get going sooner on your goals.

Everything is in good working order on the bike. The only thing is the handlebars padding being a bit torn, but that happens with wear, and I suppose it may have been left out in a garage of some sort.

I think that is a great price for a bike like that. I mean even if it is just in average condition that would be a good price for it.

It was really good, I mean the only thing wrong with it is the handlebar sleeves are a bit torn, but I mean with such a little thing like that? I'm happy about it for sure.

I think that is a pretty good deal if the bike is in really good shape. I hope you were able to come up with the money to get it.

I believe it's a good price for a bike, SC. I hope you'll be able to find the $11 so that you can purchase the bike right away and I hope you can share us some photos. It's been a while since I rode my bike because I have had hardly time for myself. I miss biking since it's one of my exercise.

That is a great deal and I am hoping that you can get the rest of the money to buy it. I would definately let the person know that you are interested so they do not sell it to someone else. I wish you all the best. Now with the bike you will be able to get work and help with the finances.

That is wonderful news. I wish you all the best and hope that you find work soon. I know the job market is tough all over. I wish I could work, but with my husband's schedule it is hard for me to. We had to take my name off the car insurance because we could not afford it.

Thank You, I went to an interview not last Thursday but Thursday before last, I really need to call the place tomrorow and ask them if they've considered me. I should have called earlier but... Well I can't dwell on that. In any case, I really hope something comes up for you that will work between yours and your husband's schedules. I wonder how much of a hassle it is to get a license to take care of children? Would you be willing to do that from home?

That sounds like a really good deal and maybe you can negotiate it for $40.00 Let them know you are short and depending on how fast they want to be rid of it they may even lower it to $45.00 Sometimes, as I do I add $5 - $10.00 more as normally most who buy want to negotiate. Try that and see and if not I still think it is a good deal if the bike is in good shape. Good luck and hope you will be bicycling soon.

I think $50.00 for a bike on Craigslist sounds better than something you'd get from the store. I've been meaning to put up the earrings my grandmother got me for Christmas on Craigslist.

I was going to say that it is a great deal for $50! But reading from all of the responses here, it looks like that you got it for the $39 that you already had. That's great as you did not even need to scrape the extra $11. I think you're on your way! Goodluck to you SCG.
