Amy Winehouse only 27 years old was found dead in her London apartment. I seriously can't believe another talented person dies due to drugs. They see how Elvis, Janis Joplin, Michael Jackson and so many more have died from drug overdose. You would think it would be a wake up call not to go down that road. She was so talented and its now all gone for nothing. What a shame, I can't believe what her parents are going thru at this time. With so many people trying to help her in the past 5 years and it never helped at all. Again, what a shame.

Hiya lelin,
Amy only being 27 if she could have found a way out of that she would have been one of the best female Singers for a long time.
Although I am not a real fan of hers I did respect the talent she had but felt badly for her when things started to go wrong and she was not able to find a way out of the mess she was in.
This happens to so many of them as well.
I hope she finds peace now and much love which is what she really needed as well.xxx

You are right if she could have wanted the help she would be alive today. I was not a big fan but I loved her voice and her album. She had such a great soulful voice and now its all gone. Hopefully she is at peace something she couldn't find here on earth, unfortunately.

Hiya lelin,
Her Voice will live on now though like Billie Holiday´s did. Amy has that kind of voice it will always stand out anywhere.
I am a great fan of Aretha Franklin and Lauryn Hill but at the same time a Singer like Amy will always be there at the Top at least I think so.
Its like Spains Nino Bravo he got killed years ago but even younger People sing his Songs.
Looks like his Grandson could be a Singer in the future wow that would be something.
I wish for Amy much love and much peace as well.
xxx

When we saw the footage of her in Serbia only a few weeks ago, me and hubby looked at one another and shook our heads.
Unfortunately, it was only a matter of time.
However, I refuse to judge Amy. Yes, what happened to her was self-inflicted but 27? That's no age to die, no matter what the circumstances.
So sad.

Sad to have read that in the news earlier. She was suffering from this addiction for a very long time. She was not one to admit her problems but they were clear as day during some of her performances and interviews.
You actually would think that someone would say to themselves, gosh I don't want end up that way. But sadly the addiction, when it is out of control they cannot think clearly and or past the need for more.
May she rest in peace.

Yes, may she now rest in peace. I feel so bad for her parents. It has to be the hardest thing to bury your child.

How sad, she was so young and talented but unfortunately suffered with an addiction she could not overcome and one that has now taken her life.
My heart also goes out to her parents who must be devastated over this. it just goes to show money and fame do not always mean happiness or peace of mind,i just hope she has now found both.

Oh for sure fame and money do not bring a bit of happiness. If you are not happy within your soul all the fame and money is not going to change it. I can't imagine what her parents are going through. May her soul rest in peace.

Yes alot of famous talented people have demons in their closet and they don't know how to let them out of the closet to get the proper help they need.

This is a very sad news. I guess was true to her song. As I was reading this discussion, I can't help but playing "rehab" in my mind over and over again. "They tried to make me go to rehab I said no no no."
