I read here many posts about ecology and global warming. But there are less posts with pictures that show the beauty of nature as it is. I was thinking that maybe if we looked at it more, we´d take more care of it.
I will post here one of the awesome pictures I took when I went to Camboriu, Brasil. My friend Baiano took me to Bombinhas, one of the most beautiful beaches near Camboriu. But it was not the beach that attracted me, but the rocks and the sea.

I live just ten minutes drive from the sea. I like to see the sandy beach, the offshore islands and the pier. I know what you mean about rocks improving a seaside landscape. I like the photo that you post here. In the Seychelles I saw beaches with granite rocks. The palm trees made the views even better for me. Hug.

Hi Marguicha. When I had a computer I was able to put pictures on to some of my My Lot discussions. Since I have had a laptop I have no idea how to get my photos onto My Lot. I hope to learn how to do this soon. I need to email some photos to one of my friends. Again I am hopeless at doing that.

Hi Maxine,
When Are you going to post pictures of your own part of the world? I will probably never go there, but I can see you walking to the beach with the children and the dogs.

I can watch the sea from my window of my home. It's very beautiful to wake up in the morning and see the surface of water is smooth like a mirror. Each time it has rained I can enjoy the spectacular rainbow from just looking out my window. It's a priceless blessing to live nearby the sea.

Hi QeeGood,
Do post a picture of the sea where you live. I will never go to Sweeden, it´s too far and expensive. But next best are picure taken with love by friends.

That is a great picture!!! I agree that it isn't always the beach but the things around it that make it beautiful. I know that when I stayed on the beach on Koh Chang in Thailand, there was a sandy beach I could walk to about half a mile from where my bungalow was, but it was rocky where I was at. My brother had a bungalow that had its porch over the water and there were a couple between mine and the beach. That area was very cool and relaxing because I was in the jungle and had the beach right there. I wish I could afford to get there again!

I finished my chemo after round 5 (although I didn't know until just before I was supposed to have round 6). I am doing much better now that I have started doing more (like going into the pool most days). I don't have any real plans right now except to improve my strength and to continue with classes.

The beauty of nature is most evident in the sea. The sea itself talks about the wonderful hands of its creator and how much more if the sea and the heavens talk with each other to discuss how they were wonderfully created by the Master Creator.

The sea is like a person's life. It could be very calm and serene at one point then at another it could be wavy and turbulent. I love watching the sea when it is calm. It blesses me to see the beauty of the peaceful sea and I liken it to my peaceful heart and while watching at the sea I all the more appreciate the peace that God has given me.

Hi marguicha, yes here we find many posts about beauty of nature and travel story. But no picture. Here I'm attaching a picture of the longest sea beach of the world.
It is very attractive. The Cox's Bazar Sea Beach is situated in Bangladesh a South Asian Country. Here sea(Bay of Bengal) and hill meets together. In the winter you can observe beautiful sunsets. Then the sky and the West horizon becomes red. The hole surrounding becomes so charming that you would not like to move. In the winter the sea remain calm. You can have a short sea cruise by country boat called Sampan.

I love the ocean and have ocean waves on the cd player to help me go to sleep - I live 4 or so hours from the Gulf of Mexico so I don't get down there, but I remember as a child going to the shore in New Jersey for a couple of weeks each summer. Yeah, it was pretty commercialized, but I loved the smell of the ocean and the sound of the waves.

I'm sure that there are some on the west coast that feel that way too, but I live in almost the middle of Texas, and Texas sports all climates EXCEPT tundra, so one of the tourist mottoes is "Texas: a whole other country".
We have shore, we have swamps, we have deserts, we have alpine, we have plains, we have tropical...

I think that everywhere, if you want to, you can sort of not look at the many shops that sell T shirts, shells and the like and just go nearer the ocean and have your own love story with it.
As my country is so narrow, I feel I cannot understand geography without the Andes on one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other.

I'm deeply attracted to the oceans, I love the sight and the sound of them. But you won't catch me in them or on them. We have wonderful rocky coast along the western side of Oregon.

There are several ways of enjoying the Ocean, savypat. I don´t like to swimm in my ocean as it´s way too cold. But Just to see it and listen to the waves against the rocks is great.

The picture that you've shared here is absolutely beautiful. Our family really likes to enjoy the nature that is around where we live. We typically try to take a hiking trip at least once a year. Of course, we haven't been able to do it this year because of Tom's cancer treatments. I really do miss it, but it is worth giving up something that I love so that I will have the opportunity to enjoy life with my husband for many years to come.

I know what you mean, dear. I´m doing my best at home now and I just used up some of my online ernings (usually spent in traveling) to buy me a nice hat to cover my head. I lost most of my hair, so yesterday I cut the rest off and quickly knit a cap for me.
But still I can see beauty for my front door. Some days ago, the muntains near my house were covered with snow, so I took some pictures just opening my door. The front is my yard with my very own apricot tree.

Hiya margi,
Me I love the sound of waves as well we are going to have to move even further away from the sea then before which is something I do not really like as we are already quite a few miles inland.
I have two Cds well no three really and they all have sounds of the Waves one is gentle one it was recorded in Hawaii and the others I don´t know where.
One is called the Storm and the Sea no music on that one and you can hear the crashes of Thunder and the Rain and the sound of the Waves and every so often you can hear and old clock chiming in the background as well.
Perhaps you can get to hear it on youtube.
The other Cds are from Steven Halpern so when I am so restless and feel the pull of the sea I put those on.
It has not rained here properly for ages no thunderstorms that last more than five minutes so the Storm and the Sea really transport you to another place for a while.
Gives me a kind of security as I am always used to Rain and the sound of it.
Love the description you gave about your Holidays in Camboriu hope I spelled that right.
There are incredible People in this World and they are not famous either.
Ocean Suite and Chakra Suite are the Cds from Stven Halpern its not that I am a New Age music Fan in particular but the recordings of the Waves are really good at least I like them.

Hi, Marguicha! I love the sea so much that I envy you looking at these beautiful pictures. I think that normal people would never think of harming this nature.
Alas, there are too many that can't see this beauty but are able to destroy it.
We should to learn how to prevent this to happen.

I suppose that if we want to save our planet, we must not stay crying fot it at our homes but get involved in changing the situation. The world needs more people like Rev. King or Mother Theresa. Unfortunatly, what we have is a lot of greedy people and a lot of lambs.

I love watching the sea too. Its very relaxing and you wouldn't notice time sitting by the bench watching the water touch the sand. Your post made me miss turkey. We have a very beautiful summer house there. we have a balcony on the last floor and from there you could see the sea... the beach is also a few steps away and we go there at sunset to watch the scenery. Last month I was there and this year dolphins are coming near the shore everyday because they get used to people throwing them food when they arrive.

Hi Marguicha
Oh my what a beautiful picture this is. I love how it is very therapeutic. This is what i get out of scenarios as this. I do enjoy nature and the sea, both can get me to day dream easily.
You had a wonderful time while there and can see why by this lovely picture. I dream about sitting in a place like this and taking in the natures air while I lay in beautiful peace.

I had a lovely time when I went to Camboriu and most of it was due to a most incredible man: Baiano. The first time I went with a niece and he took us under his protective wings. I had to come back, this time with my younger daughter and her family. Bahiano and Daniela, his wife, spoiled my younger grandson in a bad way. Then my other grandsons (from my other daughter) went to Brasil with a backpack and stayed with them. They are family now.

You are right, I am from the inland and having come live in a coastal town in my country is because I love the sea. I do not actually know how to swim but love to walk on the beach and watch huge waves punching on the the white sandy beaches. It is so serene and peaceful to just sit and watch the nature goes about its daily chores. Read the Bible and reflect on the movement of the sea and it will say something to you. Thanks for bring this up. I love sea though I do not come from a coast.

The sound of the waves can be worth a thousand antidepressants, I´m sure, jak. Watching the sea and listening to the waves makes you get inside your own slf and understand the world in another way. I have not swimmed for years, but that´s not what the sea is about.

It is certainly a wonderful view, a view which shows us how great this world can be. It is a shame that we, humans don't treat nature with respect, we destroy all the natural things and want to build artificial views and artificial things. But the nature is more beautiful and it amazes us more. Lucky you that have had the occasion to visit this wonderful place in Brazil.

I have had the occasion of visiting many places because I have used what little money I have extra for travels. It always amazes me the beauty of the placs I have been. Many times I don´t have to go far to have that experience. Just today, I watched the mountains from my doorstep and ran to get my camera.

Hi Marguicha...
Been away for a couple of months from mylot and missing mylot I browsed through the discussions and your post caught my attention.
Coincidence, perhaps, but I watched a home movie this morning where a phrase stuck with me. It's a song actually with a line which goes....all the nice things in life are free. And silently i said yes, like nature. Something which we now tend to ignore in our materialistic world.
You are right, watching the stars, the leaves of trees or even the grass, listening to rain as it touches your roof....these all could be refreshing and relaxing. Wish I could go to the beach though and idle my time away.
Have a nice day ahead, marguicha!

Although my post is about the sea, I´m sure that everwhere there´s nature if you seek it.
Some cities that are inland have arboretums or playgrounds where you can go. Ohers have trees. Even going to walk through a cemetary can be soothing. I have done that many times. And you can always look up at night and watch the stars. I remember my father taught us some of their names when we wer little. Now I watch the sky and wave at my old friends.

I agree with you that we have to learn about it. But the best way to care for the planet is, as I see it, to love it. Our planet is beautiful and people just walk through with their eyes closed. They run from one place to the other in planes or cars in highspeed highways. While they wrive, the spend part of their capacities talking to a cell phone.
I went years ago to Foz de Iguazu, where the falls are. Man has taken care of minimizing the giantic land that is one of the lungs our planet has. They cut the trees to make chips. OMG!!!
