It's a downpour right now, and it's long overdue.
Over a month without much rain at all.
It's actually starting to accumulate in buckets we have outside, so that's a good sign.
It's supposed to rain all night, possibly tomorrow and Monday.
Everything is so dry, we were watering a garden today, and it was taking too long to even get wet, so my boss was going to go out there tomorrow to water it some more.
Might not be needed now though, we can only wait and see what happens.
It's pretty cool out there now, and that helps.

We had thunderstorms yesterday which cause a great deal of flooding, it was a tad cool half of the day but it is very hot and humid today. I am glad that the rain has made it cooler by you.

You guys need that rain so you can work. Not much to do without yards to care for when they are so dry. I am jealous of the rain, and so I am going to run to the weather map next.

Oh gosh yes I do hope you get a bit more as I remember how dry you said it was a bit ago. I can imagine the ground/dirt being as hard as a rock.

We are having the same problem over here where I live as well. Some areas of our lawn are starting to turn brown. It's been about almost two weeks without rain here. Yesterday we finally got some rain, but not nearly enough. It's partly cloudy out today so I am hoping that we get some more rain. We seriously need it before we start to hear the weatherman use the word "Drought"

We got a bit of rain here, just enough to guarentee that the main apartment garden didn't wilt, but not enough to cause any real problems for us, and make it unpleasant to go out for a walk.

I've stayed home all weekend because it has been raining. and not just the ordinary drizzles but it's really pouring. Friend would sometimes text send me a text message that they are stuck in flood in the city so I thought that I should stay home instead and catch up with mylot.
I love rains. I always felt blessed whenever its presence is being given to me because I feel so relaxed and calm. Though sometimes it can be a hindrance when you want to go some place because you don't want to get wet and I am too lazy to bring an umbrella.

I'm glad you finally got some rain. I just looked at my desktop weather information and it shows that the temperature is 92 and feels like 105 and it has picture of lightning so maybe we will get some rain here too. I should go out to my car and close the other window so it doesn't get wet inside the car if it does rain. Hopefully you will get enough to replenish the water table in your area but not so much as to cause flooding. Have a great week!!!

Hi there kris182_2000
Good then! :) Wow, a month without rain? DAMN, it probably be so hot right there?!
Well, here in my place, the weather is unpredictable. But it rains once a week or so and it is really refreshing. I would love to take a nap when its raining! :)

We have gotten 2 storms that poured 3 inches in about an hour each. We are close to floating away. I am ready for some cooler weather though.

That is so awesome. I hope you get thoroughly watered and the front just moves on down until it gets clear to Texas. Of course I would like it to stop here in Kansas for a good bit. It has been way to hot and dry.

Hi kris!
It rained here as well but it was yesterday. But we have been experiencing a lot of rains since we are in the Rainy Season. However again, I only enjoyed the rain yesterday because it brought a cool weather. The previous rains did not cool down the temperature. I hate it when that kind of thing happens.
So yesterday was really a good rain. And it came at the right timing, at least for me, because I was cleaning my room then and I was hot and sweaty. When I finished I just rested a bit and stayed under the rain for a few minutes. It was really cool and I loved it! It didn't rain the whole day but it was enough to make the day cooler.

I think rain would be nice here in Maryland. About 40-50% of this state is under a drought this summer because of the heat. The whole Eastern shore is under a severe drought and the northern part of central Maryland where I live, which is Baltimore, is under a moderate drought.

Where I live we have been having a good mix of nice, summery days with a nice breather of rain here and there. We have the awesome weather of summer, but everything is still emerald green. However a few days ago there was a nightmarish hail storm - the ice balls were as big as marbles. There was so many hail stones my windshields wipers couldn't keep. I never want to drive in hail again.
I congratulate you on your rain though! I have seen your other posts about the drought and it sounds pretty bad. Hopefully this rain will heal the land! :)

It rained all of last week but yesterday was warm perfect weather. I am happy to see it finally warming up where I live. Our summers are so short already I hate to have rain ruin it all because it is 9 months of cold rain with 3 months of summer at most.
