Most people are just starting there lives at the early age of 27 years old. Amy`s substance abuse was no surprise to anyone especially her fans. She had a huge concert tour, and after doing her first tour date that took place in Serbia I believe, She had to cancel the rest of her tour.
Regardless of how you feel about Amy, Her Death was extremely sad because she had so much talent. She never hurt anyone, The only person she hurt was herself. People who really knew her would say how much of a great person she was, She just had a lot of demons in her closet. Who does not though? I really hope people are not quick to judge her, She should not be remembered as a raging drug addict, and if that is how you view her, You should really look at yourself in the mirror because absolutely no one is perfect.
They are saying she did not overdose or anything like that, But I think its pretty safe to say unfortunately her death was brought on by the years of abusing hardcore drugs that wrecked havoc on her nervous system.
Some of the drugs she was taking, When quitting cold turkey will result in massive seizures (alcohol and benzos, which are xanax and valium aka minor tranquilizers will do that.
The last few years she has been in and out of rehab trying to get her life together.
The whole thing is sad, I was never a huge fan of hers, , but she possessed real talent.
My Heart and condolences go out to her parents and friends...
Rest In Peace and I hope your able to find peace now where ever you are.

I've always been cynical about musicians or artists who claim they don't care about the money. Why would they get a record deal? Why not do what Jonathan Coulton does and release everything on Creative Commons licenses?
The worst culprit for me is Madonna. I remember her going on a TV show and spouting off about the only important thing being the music... then a couple of days later trying to stop her music torrents, complaining about the losses, starting court cases and all sorts of other stuff. Yeah, right. The music matters. Pull the other one.
I have virtually no sympathy at all for any celebrity these days, I'm afraid. And Lady Gaga has no talent, IMHO, regardless of whether she's a wonderful person or not, though.

interactivelearning,
Honestly, I wonder who is her real killer(s) at the end of the day.
I have to blame it on our indifference to her waywardness, her substance abuses, her insistent on abusing her own body and eventually her life away. I do not know why her fans, record company and her personal manager did not bother to go hard on her to get her back on track.
It is really sad to see such a young talented singer who started from scratch waste away like that and this is really sending the wrong message all over. And, I have to warn everyone that it is this indifference that will bring about more destructive lifestyles - hopefully, it will not let it catch up on our children.
Take care.
