Hello Lotters, Maybe am having a bit of a memory lapse here but I don't remember or recall giving and providing help to the new ones who come to this site. the only thing that we do mostly with other people was to remind of the guidelines and what they are doing wrong and let them know what is right to discuss. Unfortunately, to some they are just starting and making discussions is hard for them. you gotta be proud of those who made it alright, like I did and others who have made discussions better than I would be. But the question is that how can we helped them and advice them how to make better discussions? Comments here please. Have a nice day

HI Letran Knight: I remember when I first make a discussion. I was not sure if I was prepared and I ask myself if I would actually receive some answers. But I did it after participating on some many discussions that I was prepared to start my first discussion. I have got the experience . The best way we can help them is with our participation and if it's necessary by giving a good advice of what they should write or not according to the guidelines. ALVARO

Hello rameschow, that's right, we have to be nice and friendly to the new ones but also must remind them of the guidelines involved in this forum

Well back when I was a new member there were people who helped get me started and taught me what I needed to do to want to earn money and be active here, and I listened and got hooked here, and that has been almost 5 yrs. now. Overall, I cannot think of a better place to want to be than here in myLot when it comes to meeting new people and to be able to share and talk about things. For the New person just getting started in here, it is truly always about quality over quantity. When they are posting back to discussions the best thing is to stick to the topic at hand as well as posting 4-5 lines of topic not repeating yourself all the time. These are just some of the basics.

No one helped me when I was pretty much new except some warnings that I've been getting warnings coming from different people. it took me a while before i get to learn the do's and don't's about in this site. Have a Nice day.

dear LK, How's your weekend dear brother okay, newbies, yes,we can give them rules/faq's and guidelines. And we can also add that they should start a good discussion and not a poll type or asking favorites. We can tell them to observe first and check vets topic/discussion so they can have some pattern or idea on how to write a good one and what to post that won't violate rules. good morning dear brother

Hello Jaiho-sis, My week end is fine, my brother finally visited our home tonight and tried to fix my mom's CPU. unfortunately, it has failed and the only option is just to salvage the parts where it can still be useful in my current Central Processing Unit. Each and every one has a pattern to fix what ever words that needs to be said, but we are free to write everything we said. but am sure and hope that they won't violate rules at this time. Have a nice day.

Hi Letran, I simply enter their discussions and if anything is not up to par with the guidelines I do point them in the right direction. Always with the hopes they understand and rectify so they do not loose efforts. I usually tell them to discuss absolutely anything that interests them so that they will have plenty to comment back with. I simply tell them it is important to review the guidelines because if not they will give up easily.

Hello Hardworkinggurl, Well, It seems that GUideline is something very important for every user to start in terms of making a good discussion, despite of the english proficiency. Commenting is indeed something that we should consider in a good presence of a conversatoin in mylot. I am not surprise when they do this and it's really something of a good start. Have a Nice day.

What I can suggest is that we can probably include links of discussions which have been very productive. Or maybe Mylot can probably create a section for tutorials here which shows screenshots of which is a bad discussion or which is a good one. I started out here with no idea as well and I had to search the web for different strategies.

Hello Sinawaliboy, I believe we have different ways to make a discussion, but unfortunately we are really need something to do like helping the new ones to make great discussions. that's the purposed into terms of helping the new ones. unfortunately, there are only a few veterans helping the people here. too bad though am not one of them being active.

When I was new here, nobody taught me what to do and what to post. I just read the instructions and that paved the way. About helping others on what to post, well you are right, the only thing you can do is assist them on the rules here. We can't just dictate them to post something in a niche since topics do come basis to basis, mood per mood and per rules here on Mylot. I guess even the people I encourage to join here just started on their own personal discussion without me helping them. But most of them gave up, in any valid reasons that I can think of because they like other social sites or play more rather than post topics to discuss and earn some cents . Nopes, can't give them advice what they like to post. I can just assist them about the rules here so that their discussion will not be deleted and be put to waste, that's all.

Hello strawberry, When I was new here, I knew who was my referrer but didn't bother giving me advice and he kept sending me referral links. well, it's not about dictating but we hope to help them make a better topic with out them misinterpreting us into telling them what to do. still, it's like a guide process, but i guess there's no proper instruction in giving them proper free speech
