guys i have been thinking about it and iam really confused about it... i mean has getting some degree become a kind of mandotary thing... as in i have few friends who are gonna sit at their dad's shop like bakery etc...they are very sure about it...but still they are doing law or enggeneering... i mean that wont help them...if they really want to do ...then i think they should have opted for mba or something like that... and another thing..suppose a kid whose dream is to become a footballer or cricketer.. then should'nt he devote all his time to practice and chase his dream...instead of getting a high school degree...that wont matter in the end ..!

I do not think education is needed but unfortunately, most employers do....I know tons of very educated people who are very very stupid in real life....all they know is what they learned in books and memorized in classes.....street smarts and common sense should be looked at more.....I know people who barely have high school who know more about the world than people who have several degrees!

basically, everything that we know gained by learning. Within certain limits, the evidence that has taken / passed the learning process, we will be given proof of graduation certificates. This certificate is often pursued in the end most of the people

I don't know about you country, but in the US it is now mandatory in pro sports to a least have a high school diploma. Some should get a diploma. What if they get insured playing sports and are unable to return to the team. A diploma would at least give them some place to start. Best Wishes!

I wouldn't say it was mandatory, it's very much dependent on what you want to do. Jobs in fields like science, banking, engineering etc, will all require a degree, without a doubt. Many jobs also benefit from having a degree, even those you wouldn't necessarily expect. For example, becoming an author is easier if you've studied things like grammar and technical writing - having a story isn't enough if your writing is terrible. Similarly though, a degree (even in an unrelated subject) provides you with a wealth of experience you can draw upon to write. Kids who dream of becoming sports players are usually discovered pretty young aren't they? You don't go to uni for a degree until you're 18 usually. Not to mention they could do a degree in something like Sports Science, Physiotherapy, Nutrition etc, which would tie in well with training and practice, but provide a back up should their dream not go to plan - or if it does, but a kid is injured after a few years. Having a degree certainly isn't mandatory, but I think it can definitely be a big help. Especially if you don't know WHAT you want to do - if you have a degree you can always do a one year course and become a teacher, at least until you do figure it out.

I think education is very important. When everything else fails, when economy is falling and thus everything else is going downhill, you can always rely on your knowledge. I think that skill is very important but I think knowledge is just as necessary. We can always put our knowledge as part of our credentials when we apply for work.

It really depends on what it is you want to do in life! Some careers, like being a doctor or a lawyer, are completely dependant on having a degree - obviously if that is what you want to do, then you should go to college and get the right degree! But often people who do very well in business didn't get a degree at all - its all about your attitude, motivation and hard work when it comes to businesses!! So there is no real single answer to your question..

I think education is a very important factor in an persons life. Yes, you probably would end up not utilizing all that you've learned but it certainly makes things a whole lot easier.
