I recently went through something that was very tough to deal with. I prayed more than I ever had in my life. I would wake up in the morning and pray and pray during the day. I didn't know what to do about the situation so basically I asked God to please tell me what to do and I placed the burden in His hands.
I have to say I have never had such a peaceful time. Things worked out better than I even expected, though the situation is not resolved. Also I just felt others were praying for me too and we were blessed. If you find yourself in a very sad situation and/or conflict,give it a try. What do you have to lose??

I have been in a tough situation for almost 3 years now. My son was injured in a terrible car accident and I am still caring for him as he inches his way toward full recovery...it's slow but I am learning to trust God more.

trust in God is a powerful armor of life. those trials makes you a better person and learn how to appreciate simple things in life. there is always a brighter ways to handle life's difficulty, this could be started by trusting God above all.

Yes, I have done this, but not only in tough situation, but also in every day life, like going to the grocery store, asking for wisdom in not purchasing something that would be wasteful. Yet recently I have been hit so hard, I turned away from G♥d and it wasn't until I talked to my cousin that I have decided to turn back to Him..I am not anywhere near where I was, as I must have a talk with Him about some things I have done during this time, but I know He will not only bring me back to where I was, but will bring me to another level.
Anyway, my point was, I would have a lot of peace in bad situations, while my husband fumed and stressed out, yet I have no body of believers with me and he has a whole church he goes to. Problem is, this church is like most, a social club, act nice while you are here, and do whatever you want while at home..No accountability on helping people move on, his stagnant life has started to drag me down and it was a remark from his mouth that turned me from G♥d. How I let someone who obviously is a "word only" Christian, (word only as in speaks the word, but doesn't live it) get me down when I was moving forward, I have no idea other than I probably was stepping on the enemy's toes...

I think that is called being human, forgetting to stay with Him and giving Him thanks..Even in my best of times, I forget...:)

Seems many go through these periods of doubting, questioning. My attitude has always been God knows better than any person. I can always trust God but I can't always trust people. I ask God to help me accept that and turn the person over to God and ask Him to help them.
I am glad you found your way back to God. He will never let you down. My problem is I forget to stay with Him on all toimes. I do give thanks, but not enough.

Thanks ..it will take awhile I think, but at least my POV can be a calm, accepting one. One of my favorite prayers is the serenity prayer.
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Yes i have belief in prayer system. Even i also was in so much depressions in last year due to some personal conflict. Basically i am not much interested in prayers. Even in my child hood when i was going to temple, i never go inside of the temple to worship God. coz i feel not interested in it. Moreover, i don't go to the temple also. But my parents wont leave me like that. They asked me to come and at-least stand outside of temple. I am not an Atheist, But i am not interested in worshiping, and prayer and all.. But last year i realized one should worship the God, We must go to the temple. I honestly agree that i went to temple for requesting the god to solve my problem. But after once i worship the God truly and sincerely, I felt like positive energies surrounded me and also my problem is getting resolved. Now a days, i love worshiping the God often even i do not have any problem. Because i can get some spiritual kind of feel..
Don't worry friend your dull atmosphere will change in the near soon like you what you expected. Your prayer never gets failed at any cost. God never disapprove our prayer. I do not know in what situation you were now. But i will surely pray for you.. Be happy always :)

Prayer is the best thing to do specially during tough times. God always do wonders. There are times where I lose my memory like you know forgot to pay bills, forgot birthdays of family member and all these happened because I can't still recover the toughest moment of my life. How I wish I got amnesia 'cause maybe in that way I can start a new life without fear, hatred, revenge...and all the negative that I have right now. The pain still lingering in my mind and still don't know hoe to cope with it. Thanks God He always guide me.

I do a lot of praying and I feel that is because of what I did not do. So on Saturday, I was to phone for a ride to church, but they were on a camping trip. So I figured that is because I did not put enough money in the offering plate, so wrote a check even though I knew I was going to be short of money as there were some emergencies. Then I phoned my other friend and they told me to call the ride just before they were to leave, but then my friend whom I phoned afterwards, phoned early in the am and said that he would take me to church. And I put the check in the offering plate.
The trouble is I do not know if it was because I decided to put the check in the collection plate or whether I would have gotten a ride regardless. I suspect it was the latter, so even when you pray and things come together, you are still confused.

Dont know about what to loose, but I do about what not to. Its your "patience, control over your anger and, your tolerance" that you should never loose, because they are the ones who are going to help you persevere through the situation. Once you loose them, you automatically start taking wrong decisions and thats where the situation becomes worse. Tough times should be considered as stepping stones, and experience you gain gives you strength for the upcoming hurdles in your life.

Yes, turning on Him is will give us relief on what ever hardships we are encountering.He is always available any time, just asked and He will provide.
Through prayer the burden is lessen, and if we thought our prayers are not being answered maybe He thinks it's not yet the right time.
God bless my friend.

prayer is a perfect key to overcome trouble. and here is what i do. i don't think about the trouble i face, instead i recall all the troubles i already faced in my life and how i came out of it to find myself in a bigger trouble that i'm facing now. then all of a sudden the problem never really seems like a problem.

Well I handle my terrible problem by praying and firm decision. I always said to myself when facing a problem that life has its purpose. I always said that to myself to be strong and have enough courage to face it. The problems that you overcomes means the better person you will be. Just always think that there are always problems worst than yours.
