Money does not always buy you happiness.

Many of us me included have a dream of winning the lottery and dreaming about all of the things that we would do and would be able to do if we won the lottery. But the truth of the matter is that money does not always but you happiness. I have followed many stories about lottery winners who lost it all because they were so overwhelmed with such wealth. Yet there were some lottery winners who knew how to handle there new found wealth. I believe it depends on the individual if you were a responsible person before you had money then you will be responsible after the fact. I believe that when you first win the lottery you should sit back take it all in and make a list of what you would like to do with the money before going on a shopping spree. And more importantly put some away invest it and leave it for a rainy day. When it all boils down to it no matter how much money you have when we get to a certain age money will not keep you warm at nights I am sure that there are many people who would gladly trade in there riches for any form of happiness.

You do not need money to feel happiness. The true genuine happiness is within your own soul. Money is something that you can purchase material things, it makes you estimate the value of material items, properties, service done by you and others. But happiness, love and good health is not bought with money.

I don't think that money can bring you happiness. If you were to win the lottery, let's say, it might be bring some financial comfort and stability for a while, but it won't buy you happiness.

Well it might not buy happiness, but it may buy a whole lot of things that people think will make them happy. I have no plans for when I win the lottery... cause I don't buy tickets so there's really no chance that I'll win. lol But I think that people who aren't responsible with a little money aren't going to be responsible with a lot of money. If you're responsible with a little money, then you might end up with a lot.

I agree that money can not always buy happiness, but in the current world you can not be happy either without money. In fact you can not even survive without money.

Money does not bring happiness, but it sure brings peace of mind & security which can lead to happiness. Of coures in the current climate we are living in, there is always something more which we won't/must have so I know there are people who will disagree with me regarding money bringing peace of mind & security, but that is what money means to me. I always dream of winning a lottery big enough to cover my mortgage, but as I don't buy tickets, I don't think this dream will come true!! I believe one has to be fiscally responsible whether one has lots of money or live within a limited income. Of course I should buy all the things I have always desired, travel around the world, but would put a certain % aside for a rainy day. Maybe 10% of the winnings?
