Pray GOD!!!

Hi sjvg1976.. I used to..but I soon realized that it was only the thought of 'someone' listening, that was a comfort.. Maybe Im wrong..

There is no "god" that made specific individuals. we got here by a wonderful process of physical and chemical reactions of which we only understand a small fraction. Who started that process or laid down the natural laws by which it works we do not know and nobody knows despite what they may claim. The only thing prayers so is to make you feel better there is nobody listening to them except you

It is Our tradition to pray god every day. It give peace of mind, it increase our confidence and keep us away from sins. I pray every day

I pray to God because it is the only way for me to show how grateful I am for things He has given to me. There are time where I could say anything to Him and express my feelings. If we forget Him He will forget us and if we remember Him He will remember us as well..(^^)

People pray because they don't want to face the reality. They are looking for something to give them a feeling of security. You may THINK God helps you a lot in your life, but does God actually help you anything? Does God listen to you at all? God doesn't exist physically in reality. If you think God exists, He will always live in your heart. Personally I neither pray God nor believe in God. In fact, I don't believe in any religion.

Praying to God is like having a personal conversation on him.We pray not because we are asking for something on him but we pray because we want to thank God for all the blessings that he had given to us despite of our trials and difficulties in life we are still able to survive and we should lift up to God whatever situation that is bothering us.

As a Christian, I pray to God because it is my way of communicating with Him. And by so doing I will be able to have continue my sweet relationship with my Lord. When I pray I always make sure I don't just ask or lay down my petitions but I also do praise and thank Him for all the blessings He gives me.

I am not religious and I do not pray. I think that many people pray because that is how they were brought up. I think that praying is just a good way of organizing and making known to ourselves our intentions and desires. It is also meditative in a way and can put out a very positive energy. But do I believe that it is telepathic communication with a higher being? I do not.

I think prayer helps us comfort ourselves when we need it. It makes us stronger people. Without faith, I think many people would be lost. Plus, I feel like I am not alone in life. That there is a higher power out there watching over me.

Rarely do I ask for things, except for other folks, but I thank Him often..Probably not often enough..And I ask for the safety and well-being of other folks and thank for same..Enjoy!

hi mylotters, of course i do pray to God, because i know in my heart there is God. Like you i got peace of my mind and heart everytime i talk to Him. Especially everytime i visited Him in the church. I know God is everywhere, and even i did not go to church He is with me.but i was raised by my parents of going to church every sunday and im doing it always. we people should always pray to God. i have my own style of praying. i make sure that im alone in the room, no noise. i used to talk to Him just like how i talk to my parents. i used to cry to Him if i have a big problem. God is so good....

HI:) Honestly many people do pray God when they are in some trouble or need. Even i do pray mostly for that. But I do pray sometimes for others too.

The best thing about faith is that everyone gets to be right. Some people pray, yet the question remains, what is prayer? I've read where prayer is praise for this being known by many names. I've also read that is showing gratitude, listing the 'blessings' in life. I've also read that prayer is begging, asking for forgiveness, for material things, for peace, for strength...for someone to live when injured...begging. I've also read that prayer is sometimes approached as a business contract, the Deal if you will. You do this for me and I'll do or not do this for you. Faith and spirituality are often confused, yet the two are totally separate and independent of each other...one can be spiritual and not have faith, and one can have faith but not be spiritual. Many of us have been taught to pray, told that there is a Supreme Being watching over us, some of us even believe that the books we are taught from are some how exempt from error and even though there are as many interpretations of these books as there are those who would interpret them, some how each of those is right, even when there is a vast difference. Is there a Being which watches over us, concerned with our every thought and deed? Perhaps. Is it the Being we were taught about? The exact one we've been encouraged to envision? Perhaps not. As I said, everyone gets to be right.

Hi i always pray to our father GOD, not because he was our GOD but he was our creator, he knows everything to us, GOD knows everything in our life, we cannot hide anything, i pray to our GOD because i just want to thank him for the life he gave to me, for every day that he keeps me safe and healthy, for the blessings and trials that i encountered,even small blessing or big blessing i am very thankful, and i asked also for the forgiveness for all the sin i've done in a week or in my life...and also for the guidance and right decision whatever plans i would do...we should asked our father GOD whatever decision we were planning for, because he was the only that knows what good for us...so don't forget to pray and also its the only way we can communicate with GOD thru our prayers..

Most prayers which go up are answered in all earnestness...but not always in a way that you desired it to be!

It's our way of communicating Him. It's our way of expressing our belief in Him. Like you too, I pray for peace of mind, for security, for confidence. I also pray to Him whenever I am troubled. I also pray whenever I'm grateful. I also pray for so many other things. I pray for a lot of reasons.

Did you know that using capital letters in the internet means you're shouting? Now try reading your message again taking that in mind I don't pray any god because humans created it, and I can't really worship a man-made invention. At least I'm not in that level of ignorance and brain wash to pray for a fiction character that, of course, hasn't created anything in real life

I pray everyday. I pray before I eat, before I sleep, and whenever I think I need to. My family has raised me to become a godly person. I thank God for the new life and energy I receive everyday. I thank for the food. I ask him to guide me and my family for the whole day and night. Also, to guide every servant of him and people might come to know him too. Having God by your side is the best thing. He is the greatest friend and companion we could ever have.

i pray God.. because God is everything for me..when i am happy i thank God, when i am sad i cry to God.. he is my comfort and power.. He is my savior and my life.. that why i pray..

Because the people must believe in something. Someone believe in God, other in him(her)selves and other in material things.
