Do you dare to try speed "dating"?

I would not be able to participate in such a way of dating as I talk slow and like to get into a conversation and turn it around so as to see all possible sides of it. . I guess the other participants would ban me quickly.

I am married so I am not looking for a date, but if I had been single I might have tried speed dating. It would be a new experience and I chance to meet many different kinds of people. 5 minutes isn't much if you have to decide if you are interested in the seeing the person again, on the other hand you might be able to get an impression of the other person. I have read an article about speed dating and the journalist wrote that there was no match between the men that she wanted to see again and the men who wanted to see her. Things like that can happen, but I still think that it could be a nice way to talk to many different people.

I don't see why not. Why does it have to be 'meeting potential partner' instead of just 'meeting new friends'? I mean, it takes a lot before we could actually find the right one for us and I think speed-dating is just one way for us to meet new people and circles of people with the same interest and perhaps the experience would just be fun! I don't see why I wouldn't go to one if there was something like that here in my city. Darn! Too bad there isn't! Anyhow, I think it's about ones' perspective, if you're in it too seriously (you're desperate to find someone) you will never find someone regardless the medium. But if you're there for the fun of it, that's a different thing. Have a great MyLot experience today!

I personally think it's fun but don't you think it's problematic when you landed on someone who's really quiet and you're quiet yourself? LOL! It'll be fun if you and your 5 mins partner is loud though. Like laugh loudly over introduction or something :P The sudden introduction and small talk is fun since you have to utilize full 5 mins :P
