Google's free chrome operating system will get the users into the web within few seconds.People easily loose patience with PC that are slow to start up, prone to crashing , vulnerable to viruses and constantly needs fiddly updates.Google is developing software the underlining software which can handles the basic function of the computers. with this software Google is mounting a blunt challenge with the dominance of Microsoft whose windows operating system is running almost 95 percents of the PCs.Google promises that its chrome operating system which will be available on the computers on the next half of next year will put emphasis on speed, simplicity and security.

Only the future can tell but I assume nope. It is because windows is hard to replace in spite of all the problems it has, though personally I use windows but recently I decided to try linux as well and find it very useful especially for browsing the web.
The chromebooks that have this chrome OS are said to be very speedy laptops because it connects to a cloud, in simple words these computers will use optimize to use online services and storage rather than the usual physical drives like hard disks and cd's
