If you could choose to visit one country this year for free which would it be? Which country would you decide to visit next year with all expenses paid for? Do you have any ideas of where you would go the year after that? Why have you chosen those places?

I would travel to China I think. I would love to visit all those lovely buildings and historic sites. If I went the following year, I think it would be Peru, I'd love to see the Incan ruins. I could happily travel for years... the next would be Egypt!

I would like to go to France. I love to know their culture. The French language amazes me! I want to know it as well. I like to meet people, the locals. I would tour around the historical places and their tourists destination. After a year, I'd like to be in London! It will be fun especially if I am with my family traveling!

I went to Paris as a teen and wasn't real overwhelmed, I would like to go see castles in Germany tho... I've been to London 3 times, and would LOVE to go back, but since I've been there, I would rather go some place I haven't been yet

I would go to France this year and UK next year. I basically love to travel and I have plans to travel the whole world eventually, and so there is no specific reason why I would choose those 2 countries. Btw, can anyone tell me how I can start a new post? I tried to search everywhere on this site but can't seem to find a 'start new topic' button. Thanks!

This sound corny but I would still my country given that as you said, all expenses are paid for :) I live in the Philippines and I haven't much explored the country. Just last April I visited it's northernmost island (Batanes) and it reminds me there re so many places I have to visit here before I visit other nations. Here's a slideshow of Batanes photos by the way: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8exrtK_4rY

Its a big country and you could spend a year just doing it - heck, you could spend a few months in Texas alone!

I think I'd like to properly explore my home country before jetting off to explore others. There's a huge amount I haven't seen.

Hmm, all expenses paid you say? Better go somewhere expensieve then, either stay at home in Norway, or go to Switzerland or Iceland :-) But if it's for a year, I'd probably go for a bigger country. I think I'd start with Australia. It's so big it'd be possible to go get nice climate the whole year. It is also so big that finding things to do for a whole year wouldn't be a problem, and since it is so big, it is good to have enough time to travel and don't stress from place to place. And I've got friends there. I could also convince some of my friends on New Zealand to take a trip to Sydney :-) If I had a second year, I might go to Russia. Or maybe China. I've seen some BBC documentaries about nature in Russia and China and both places looked great.

It might sound strange, but in those trips described, I'd like to visit dear old Mother England in a bid to trace out my ancestry, say G'day to her Majesty The Queen, Sir Paul McCartney & see how well the English cater for vegans (very well, from what I've heard!). I'd also, on the other trip, like to visit the Fatherland (Germany), also mostly for the purposes of ancestry tracing, & maybe to learn German language skills properly & astound my German boss when I get back! How about you? Care for another adventure trip Down Under? You would be well looked after by our growing number of Australian My Lot members!
