Hi Everyone! :)
My internet service provider is Globe Broadband and I just currently switched to paperless billing in support and caring for the nature for not using paper for our bills.
Globe is committed in building a greener world for our children. In realizing this vision, Globe is introducing a Paperless Billing program to cut-down on the number of trees needed to print traditional billing statements. So, I decided to choose for me to be able to help our Mother Earth heal her wound. At least, in this little way I can help Her heal herself.
What are your ways on helping Mother Earth? Really curious..

Hi bunso!
Thank you for your post 'cause I am not aware of it,ngek! I'm also a globe broadband subscriber and I didn't know about this paperless billing until now. I'm happy Globe came up with this kind of campaign.
We always plant trees in our backyard bunso,it looks like a forest already, lol! My dad has a green thumb and he is very fond of planting trees and herbs. We have mango, guava, banana, calamansi and malunggay trees here bunso. We also have some sambong and oregano. Our trees bear sweet fruits bunso that's why our neighbors are always asking for its fruits when in season, haha!

Hi inay! :)
Switch to it now! :) You will receive your bill via email and you will just pay it in some paying branch of them! :D
Wow... I miss guava! We have that too when my grandpa (father's side) was still alive. He used to plant trees, herbs and any flowers too! But he's gone and no one is taking care of his garden since we've moved in a very far place! :( I miss him!

We still get the paper bills every month. I have asked my sister to just use pay the bills via internet but she refused to do so. She still wan to pay it through counter. Even if we are using paper billing we still use recycled papers and other things for everyday use. They are a lot of newspapers and we will send it to recycle center. If we know how to recycle things it could at least save the mother earth as well.

One of my sister is so strict about recycling things a few years ago but I think she just not into it anymore. I don't know why. It is fine with me if no one wants to take the same action as long as I know what I should do even if it just a little help to save the planet.(^^)

I have subscribed to paperless billing and yes, it is a small gesture to save Mother Earth and conserve our environment. Other than that, we prefer using paper plates or real plates when we have parties and not styros. Keeping our garbage is another. Don't just throw your garbage anywhere else.

my lady,
I hope SMART will do same thing, esp they are always using two pages each time they send their bills.
Sometimes there were other papers enclosed for their promos and other rewards when they can do it published in their site...
Good idea from Globe then.

Well, I hope there are still a lot of people like you who cares for the Mother Earth.
Paperless transactions are implemented by most big companies now. In some companies they programmed their office communications connecting to each of them to have a paperless and faster way, too.
Good job!

A lot of companies are going paperless billing now. I like it because it helps the environment and if you ask some companies will give you a discount for having your bills sent to your email account. My husband called our insurance company and they took money off the bill if we went paperless. I also save the envoronment by recycling as much as possible.

We are also subscriber of Globe Broadband and they just email our billing for the month. But I still need to print the billing so I can show to the boss that Globe has already sent billing. It's just great cause they sent two (2) Jollibee voucher although I didn't get the voucher, instead my boss took it if I remember it. But the plan is great, in Muntinlupa City where I am working, it is already a law to use paper bag or any reusable bag in stores, houses and even malls instead of plastic. It is also a big help for a greener world as well, I just hope that it will become a world wide bill to lessen the use of plastic.

Following the paper less route. At the cash station you can decline to receive a reciept, same at the gas pump if you are charging it. Also switch to rags for general clean up in the kitchen instead of paper towels. This can be old shirts, or you can buy cheap wash cloths (24 of the for $4 at walmart) then just throw them in the wash with whatever else you are washing.
Cut down on the use of plastic by using a water filter at home and a 32 oz refillable bottle (or they also have aluminum) instead of buying cases of bottled water. There are a bunch more, but my brain is still mostly asleep.

I guess, i am also contributing to the paperless billing because my credit cards' billings are done through the net. That way, my bills are not delayed.
But going back, at home, we don't burn those fallen leaves anymore , like we do before. We know that the smoke contributes to the destruction of our ozone layer so we stopped doing it. We simply let it be gathered and made to decay naturally, which can fertilize the earth in return.
I hope i have contrubuted in one way or another to Mother earth.

i think that is a great idea.. of getting paperless billing. after all, after we read the numbers on the bill we just throw away the paper and never care less.. I think i also would want to shift to that since my smart bro also offers that kind of help to mother earth..

A lot of companies who offers services have options of having a bill delivered to you or e-mailed instead. Globe is one of them. Credit card companies also offers this kind of options to it's client. I find this system much more efficient than the usual "mailed" bills. Everyone has a computer and an internet connection at home and as well as work. It is much more practical and convenient to get your bills through internet mail rather than snail mail. Snail mail also gets lost at times. And of course the paper saved from printing of this bills is also a lot of help to our deteriorating environment.

I was previously working in a telco company before. We switched to e-bill instead of paper. If customer will request for paper bills then they will have an additional charge for that. There are a lot of customers complaining about that. For me, proper disposal of garbage is my contribution to mother earth.

I started segregating our household wastes and sell the plastic or any non-biodegradable material to the junk shop. This is one great way of helping the environment. You already help the environment and yet you are earning also. You can also limit the use of electricity and use your paper in school properly if you want to do your share.[em]lol[/em

I am also a Globeline subscriber and I also had my bills sent to my email instead of the printed form.
Another thing, I help preserve the world by teaching the "hows" to my pupils.
