Now a days, one thing comes in my mind is that are people responsible towards their social responsibilities as they used to be? In explanation, I want to ask to all myLotters that now a days should people be aware with what happening in their surrounding or they should only go with their daily life that is office, home, time with family etc?

If we are able to look outward to the community and help where we can then that is a good thing. I am only able to get through my daily life but other who are stronger should try to help where they can. I don't like to know what is going on around me much because I get so stressed out.

Hi, This is a problematic reality of our lives now, especially in the social. In the big cities have been very rare people who care about the environment, even they could not think of their own neighbors. As if our lives have become individualistic. It was a time when competition demands to live harder. Beyond these things, I feel comfortable to live in small villages that still have high solidarity in life. Have a nice day.

I also like to live in small cities as they are not full of selfish people like of metro cities.

I have to wonder whether it is a sign of the times but people seem to be in such a hurry on a daily basis and not as many take the time to stop smell the roses, take a look around and lend a hand when necessary. Having said that I am thankful for those individuals that take the time to look at the bigger picture and I am very grateful that the majority of us still have kindness in our hearts despite the rat race.

I guess people are still responsible. Unfortunately, they prefer to keep themselves aloof rather than getting involved, to avoid hassles. But it is possibly the wrong attitude.

Yes people are responsible, but sometimes they don't want to help others because they think that they have more important works to do.

Every one should be always aware of what is happening around them. They should just not be concerned with their work but also try to help others. For example, if someone had an accident nearby us, we must try to help them and call a medicar for them. They should not just leave them like that. If a person is not able to move their bike, we must try to help them.

Is this helping nature really exists between people? I mean how many of the people now a days discuss about their past day with their elders? We see that people don't want to mess with helping people who really needs help.

Everyone has a rights and responsibilities to be aware of what is happening around us. we should be aware of what is happening in our surroundings and try know what can we do about it. We don't have to wait for something bad to happen for us to awaken from being unaware.

Well said, but tell me one thing when people should know about their surrounding then why people don't try to overcome the problems of others who are affected by the cruel face of the society.

Thinking about the society, to make it better may threaten to our mind, Sometimes our thoughts my go wrong, we may think selfish, but the service is ultimate.

No one is exempted in social and other responsibilities. Everyone must be aware of what's going on around him/her. That's why, reading or hearing news is important for everyone. :)

We should be aware of the news and things happening around us. Yes we have our own family, work and other responsibilities and we live in our own life circle... but we are also a member of a larger community and everything that happens around us have a direct and indirect affect on our lives, we may not feel that effect, but no matter how little that effect is, we still have the right and responsibility to know what is happening around and then in our own free will either not care or do something about it... the main thing is we need to know.
