male intimacy in the vampire lore

Hey guys, I have a question that I need your take on. This is for my thesis entitled Gender Communication of Bromance. Anne Rice hints us to the real condition of Louis and Lestat's friendship. We know that in vampire stories, loneliness is oft the feeling plaguing their hearts and so they seek companionship. Lestat has found it in Louis. We already have a word for it, which bromance. Also vampires are given feminized appeal when it comes to looks--clear white skin, long fingernails, long flowing hair, red lips etc. My question is: Will looks (faces and fashion)actually affect your perception on their kind of relationship (vampires having feminine appeal)? For instance, won't you see it more of a homosexual relationship more than bromance? I guess what I'm trying to get at is if your initial judgement (based on ocular inspection, no contact or knowing the personal backgrounds) on the kind of relationship two male friends are involved in influenced by the way the dress, the way they act, the way they talk? I'm trying to establish some archetypes of bromance--a sort of structure. Tell me what you think. You may put in comments other than for the question above. Something that may be useful for me. Thanks once again.

Lestat is a beautiful vampire and yes Ann pulls us in the direction of romance between Lestat and Louis.I understand what your trying to say its just hard for me to put thoughts into words.I happen to find my self pulled into the vampire world with all the romance,danger,secrets...ect...Lestat and Loius have a different sort of understanding and pull between them.Which makes me want to read and find out where it is going. Most vampires do have a female appeal to them.I guess thats to reach out toward women more.I happen to love the long hair and nails. The fashion yet at the same time the vasmpire is full of mystery and danger.
