Im 17 and i dont blame him video games are very funa nd addicting. Make him pick a sprt ant sport at all and then find somewhere he can play it. School, community league, anywhere.. This has worked on many of my friends who play them too much.

Yeah , children and adults also get pretty much addicted to video games. I have a nephew who spend hours a day playing games through out the week. Here is what his father did once : gave him a nice present when he stood first in his class at school. That was a present he wanted so much. So, he ( the boy ) became very interesed and realized that to get a price like that another time from his father , he would have to study hard. And, he did. Started studying and doing home works many hours. That cut down the hours he spent on the video games. It worked so well !

Take away his video game console if he spent all his time on focusing playing video games. You should teach your kids to spend time on outdoor activities, and do some chore at home too. He should start to prepare for school, since the summer is almost over. I hope that he will listen to you.

Maybe you can bring him to any place that he will have an opportunity to play games physically like sports or anything that will catch his attention other than video games. Something that suits his likes and something that you think he will enjoy and can challenge him. Also encourage him to bring his friends in order to be more fun. My little brother is like that, no one can take him away from computer and video games but when we go for a go cart razing, he got envious and want to join us.

Yes good idea! HE is always anxious to receive friends at home since he doesn't has brothers or sisters.
