WE had a ton of fun. Going visiting...eating out..camping...and just hanging out. After I got home from work today he asked me if I would like to go out for dinner! So we went to a nice restaurant and he picked up the tab. Got home and hung out for just a little while before he left to go to his uncles for the night as they have to be at the airport early. So I come up here and on my dresser is a bouquet of flowers with a thank you card....with a promise to make sure I know where he is after he gets into the army! I have been so blessed with such a wonderful grandson. What do you count as one of the biggest blessing you have in your life?

Yep, time indeed flies when you're having fun. I consider living with my brothers as a blessing. They're just worth a million rocks for a support.

Oh what a sweet sweet boy! I hope he writes you as often as he can to let you know how things are going so you don't worry so much! If I am not mistaken, he is being deployed to Iraq?
Before you know it he will be back at your home enjoying you're good food!

My timing! because of my work anniversary falling on July 18th and for me having that Monday off , I went shopping. It was hot but not Too hot! Today , It was rainy and it was my last Monday off! The moment my heart was healed and I told my friend I was ready to to look for love , my guy found me. It is definitely my timing! I'm so glad you and your grandson had a good time!

Hiya Jill,
So many things really I canĀ“t put them into words I can remember them but they would be so many.
Luckily the good outweigh the bad ones in spite of everything.
What a wonderful Grandson you have there Flowers I love Flowers I have just been past some Fields of Sunflowers and they are almost ready now.
Some are enormous this Year as well. Its really hard to be able to get and stop and take a Photo of them though as they are right on the edge of main Roads.
How nice to have such a wonderful blessing in your life like your Grandson.
He seems such a wonderful character.xxx

How very sweet! That is a good grandson! No, I change that. He is a GREAT grandson!
My granddaughters just let after a week of visiting as well. They are younger so I was left with lots of homemade pictures and beaded bracelets to remember them by. It's always fun to have them visit.

Wow!! This was very nice of him. I think you are going to miss him after the nice visit, and I am sure you will spend many a day in thought and Prayer for him. For me I would say the biggest blessing that I have in my life at this time is my husband. With all of my Health issues that I am going thru at this time, he has been there for me. There are many times that I start feeling really down and almost depressed and feeling hopeless, and he says something to encourage me or buys me some chocolates and just lets me know he cares. I know God gave me him for times in my life like this just to know someone is there.

Wow, the week did go fast!! I read your post about him coming, and told you about my step-son Cory. Cory and I talked tonight on Facebook. The internet is one of the biggest blessings in my life, because it allows me to keep in touch with my loved ones all over the world. Of course my loved ones are the biggest blessing in my life, but the internet is the blessing that keeps us all together.

That is so wonderful to have a grandson like that. There just aren't too many young people these days with that much respect even though alot were raised to have it. I am getting ready to have my first grandchild in September but I will probably never even meet "her". My daughter doesn't come around because she has chosen the wrong path in life. She may not even be able to raise the baby herself since she has no stable place to live. We took her in several times but she moves right back out with her homeless, worthless, jobless, filthy, vulgar husband of 1 year this month. They are both 19 years old. It is a pure joke. He is going to prison soon also after his court date in September. She is due September 30th. He goes to court on the 28th for grand theft auto and whatever other charges he has. It makes me sick that she has turned out to be this way after we raised her so much differently and want nothing but the best for her. she has nothing now. They sold and pawned or blew up everything she left here with, including her car that she never paid us for as agreed. Makes me sick!

Oh sweetie....I am so sad for you....but maybe things will come around after the baby is born....when she holds it for the first time her heart will change....do you remember that moment the first time you held them in your arms? We'll all hope and pray that she has a change of heart and that her child will get to know their grandparents!

How sweet of your grandson, this kind of behavior has become less and less as time goes on. My grandsons, though they are only 8 and 10, are already so much a part of the world, the world of, "me,me,me" that there is no way I would expect either of them to appreciate anything I do for them./.You are fortunate Jill...

That was very sweet of him. He sounds like a very nice young man. Maybe I am a bit cynical, but I don't think that most young men his age would act like that; actually, I don't think that most men twice his age would act like that, either. Or, maybe, I've just been around too many of the wrong people...

YOu are one great grandparent I know your grandson love you as much as you do. I love my grandparents too... but after I married I had to leave them too since I have to move in a different country. I consider my parents and my family as a wonderful blessing in my life and of course a wonderful husband who also love my family so much

Without a doubt it's my husband. He met me when I was at my weakest in life and helped to make me a strong, braver, kinder, gentler person. I used to be very cynical about life and not really have any compassion for others and he changed all of that.
I think it's fair to say that you have a wonderful grandson and sure he is going to be just fine in the army with that caring manner!

I also received many blessing from my grandfather. He told to me that "Be as a leader, do the social service, that is ultimate". I am following his words.

Firstly Jillhill I am happy to hear your visit with your grandson was a lovely one and that he is such a caring grandson.
I have huge blessings in my life and that is my two beautiful children. I raised them both completely on my own and with absolutely no help and or sight of their father and I must admit that despite all my difficulties in doing so alone I have raised two absolutely respectful and caring children.
Time does absolutely fly really fast and I do hope you get to enjoy more weeks with him real soon.
