What is mylot Star ranking and wht it means?

Yes our rankings and stars are given to us once we reached (100). It is done specifically by the members where they rate all of our discussions/responses/comments. It is important that each and every member learn the DRS system as from the guidelines abusing it can affect our own. You should take a look here: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq17.aspx It is not to be used as a like and or dislike button and should only be used to rate on how our participation is healthy and or unhealthy to the community. If it increases that means more and more are plus rating you. If it decreases that means some have negative rated a member. It should never be used because someone does not agree with you, and should again, only be used on how our activity here impacts the community. It also affects a members earnings. In that link I provided above it specifically says: What if I disagree with someone? Should I give that post a negative rating? Absolutely not! In fact, if you disagree with a post, but still feel it positively contributes to the discussion, you should rate it positively. Rating quality content negatively will hurt your ratings overall. Remember differing opinions and viewpoints tend to make for the most interesting discussions. Also the link says: What's the best way to get positive ratings for my actions? Post quality topics, responses and comments! Some pointers include: When giving advice or answering questions, research your conclusions and provide links to authoritative guidance. Convey original ideas or thoughts. Don't repeat what somebody else has already said. Be considerate of other users in a discussion. You are at (199) therefore, increasing for you should be quite easily. The higher the participation reputation, like mine, the more time it takes to increase it. Hello vikram, Star is reflection of your reputation on MYLOT it automatically appears when you reach 100 posts. It always fluctuate when someone rates you + or - for your responses.These + and - ratings when consolidated your reputation is calculated. It happens in starting your reputation slips and climbs very quickly but when your number of posts increases it don't increase like it is happening now with you.Its always better to have good reputation for better earnings.For making your reputation good only thing you need to do is to post quality responses so that all others may rate you +.
