1. Traveling can help you figure out what you want to do with your life : Exposing yourself to new places, people and cultures can awaken your sense of purpose. Learning about what's out there in the world can help you determine what feels like you - and what doesn't.
2. It promotes independence ( and hones survival skills ) : Catching flights, keeping track of passports and navigating foreign - speaking cities, can force you to think on your feet and make ddecisions quickly. Being away from your comfort zone really pushes a person to think independently.
3. It eliminates resentment later in life : How often do you hear someone much older than you comment on how they should have done something when they were younger? No one wants to be sitting in a rocking chair at age 80.wishing that they had taken that trip when they had the chance. Don't let someone or something stop you from traveling. A chance to experience the world now is greater than any excuse you can come up with for not going. It's worth it and you'll be glad you have those memories later in life, trust me!

I am from America and I would love to see Indonesia. Sounds like a very beautiful country that has a lot to offer and see. I am a college student and I am going to spend my next semester in London, England. I am excited to see a different culture, and I hope I can travel some to different places while I'm in the U.K.

Hi jiyeon21,thank you for your response. I want to travel to many places, like Philippines, Singapore,Malaysia,Thailand.....,if i have chance to visit these places that would be amazing,as is known to all,we can't just think from one angle,we can't stay one place too long, sometimes we could let ourself thik it to be inverse, that is to say,out of fixed idea,i always underline the importance of one's horizons,so it need our practical action.

Really like your discussion and how you did it.
I have traveled on cruises and have been to almost all the port of calls in Mexico.
My love of country to visit is 2. First is Italy because of all the architecture and paintings. I so admire the richness and values of Italy. The second country is Poland. My father was in World War II and he never talked much about that war.
I have researched and studied on the Holocaust and I think even though it is vivid in my mind and heart for the heartbreak of the Jewish Community I think you genuinely need to go and feel it.
Its hard to explain in words but The Civil War in our country and the Holocaust are two historys that I do research and read on and now try to live a better person than what these precious people have undergone during those times.

I think travel is a pleasant thing for everyone, but only few of us could enjoy it juet because of time or enough money,of course i love travel very much,i am just a common man which working in small company and have to support the family,so u could imagine my time is aways occupied by my child or work and my salary is so low that i dare not spend much on travel, but i think domestic travel is enough for me if only i have the opportunity, you know content is happiness.

Well I have plenty of places in mind to visit but the one place that I would like to visit is Brussels Belgium. I have seen some pictures of this place on the internet and also a few of my relatives who have gone there have said that the place is beautiful and nice. When I go there I will surely visit most of the places and end up buying a lot of belgium choclates. I am a person who loves travelling to new places and the excitement of getting there is enormous. Hope when I plan my next vacation I get a chance to visit Brussels and explore its beauty..

My husband and I have been able to travel a bit. Both within our own country and abroad. We would really like to visit Italy and Greece as a second honeymoon in three years. We are actively saving for this trip. A few weeks after we were married we moved to Japan for a year. We learned enough survival Japanese, and picked up more while we were there. We took advantage of the flexible schedule at work and took several 4 or 5 day trips within in Japan, and spent almost every weekend in Tokyo or the surround lands. We learned alot about ourselves and eachother, mostly how each handles stressful situations (like luggage not arriving when we did). We have also traveled to Egypt for a month, and spent 6 days in Beijing. I want to grow old with no regrets.

Firstly, I liked the way you have put your thoughts in different points that becomes easy to read and does not make people feel like they are reading a long passage.
I am from India and love to visit New Zealand. Before planning a vacation out there, and like to visit all the major tourist attractions within the country.
I hail from Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh and have already started the journey and visited most of the places in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and presently eyeing on Karnataka. these places are really wonderful and loved the atmosphere, people here are really warm and you will not have any problems whatsoever with respect to the languages.
Of all the places visited, I liked Munnar, a hill station located in Kerala. It is one of the famous holiday spots in the southern part of the country. You have a lot of tea plantations in the entire station and beautiful landscapes. Manay young couples visit this place and celebrate there honeymoon and have a wonderful time.

Switzerland is in top of my list as next desired travel destination, I would love to be there for its beautiful landscapes (mountains/hills).
The next one in my list will be Maldives for its great and peaceful beaches.

Working in Australia on a working holiday visa let me decide to become a primary school teacher. I had traveled around the world at age 20 to 21 years old. When I got home from that trip I upgraded my qualifications before going off to university.
The traveling I have done has made me independently minded, able to think on my feet, developed my patience and given me an understanding of world religion, let me improve poverty in a small way and given me much knowledge. The sort of traveling is the type I like to do.
Typically I buy a flight and then travel around a region. I travel on local transport, meet local people and see native wildlife. I usually stay in locally owned guest houses and shop in local shops so my money gets into the local economy. In all I have traveled to around 52 different countries. My favorite that I have been to are Samoa, Australia, New Zealand, Belize and the Seychelles.
The countries I wish to travel are Madagascar, India, China, Ecuador, Peru, Brazil, Grenada, Tobago, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Egypt and Iceland. Top of my list is a trip island hopping and snorkeling in the Philippines.
