I've heard that rich people became wealthy in all aspects of their lives because they practice the rules of attracting wealth. I heard somebody say that most of the richest people in the world today are college dropouts or even have low educational attainment. Like for example Bill Gates of MicroSoft and Henry Sy of the Philippines, to mention a few. They started from nothing till they become business tycoons.
Well, based on these facts I can not avoid thinking that there really are laws of attracting wealth and they just religiously followed and practiced it yesterday and that's the reason why they become what they are today. Now, my question to all of you is, "Do you believe in the law of attraction?" And what's your opinion about this topic?

I watched the movie called Secret. Also read its book. It seems to be saying what I did in the past when I was a kid. We have to imagine doing something we wish to become in real life. That is what law of attraction is all about. It gives us the imagined item right when we least expect to have it. At least, this is how I found the love of my life. But I also believe that the universe will not give us something when we are not ready for it. In the beginning, we need to learn lessons. Only after that we get what we want.
But one thing is certain, we have to take action to make it happen. The universe will present the item in the form of opportunity. We need to raise our hands to grab it. Otherwise, the wish will not come true.

The movie Secret explains that totally. But I believe prayer has similar effect as long as it comes from our heart. Nothing beats the one who created us. He is surely kind enough to give us what we want and need. But for that, we just have to make sure that we go by his words. That is, being good to others.

I think you're right. We have to take action in order for the law of attraction to have an effect on us. As one of my friends says "be quick to grab any opportunity that is going our way". And most of all pray to the Creator of everything in the universe for He has the last say whether He grants all what we've been attracting for.

Yes, I do agree with you Devine. Nobody is above the Creator of everything. I also believe that He want us to be happy and abundant for as long as we live by His will

I agree, have you read the book "The Secret" and "The power?"
Those books are agood read and made me believe in the law of attraction, made me realize that most of the things Ihave now are a product of the law of attraction. I even put it into test. I made my own dreamboard by putting pictures of things I want to have. And most of the things Iposted there are with me now. The secret is to be postive in life and to always love.

Wow, that is a great way to practice the steps of law of attraction. I am so happy to hear that most of those things are now with you. But I just have one question, did you always keep the pictures with you? Or is it like after having your eyes on them for a while you threw them away? I am little confused about this technique. Some people say that we need to forget about them completely after a while.

Nope, I haven't read any book about law of attraction, pbbbsra. I heard it only from my friends who have attended seminar on this matter. They said their lives have changed, I mean their outlook towards money have changed after attending the seminar. Aside from what you've mentioned in your response they told me in order for the law to be effective we must give donations or tights to the church where we belong (at least 10% of our income) and to give to the needy people.

I read the book and I can send it to you. I will PM you for that. I also watched the video which is like an excerpt of the book and you could check youtube for that. If I am not mistaken I think I also attended to that seminar you were talking about and I became a member of it too.
Those two books I am talking about is very useful. You can count on that, and about the seminar, I would advice you to think twice, but if you are determined to join, nothing is impossible.
Divine, I kept the picture on my study table and whenever I feel down, I look at that and remember my goals and the things I could have by keeping myself positive about life. The law of attraction tells us that we have to want... and then we have to feel, and then we have to believe like we already have it in our hands. I did. That is why I can talk this way. I want to share the change the law of attraction made in my life. And if you want I can still help, I am just a message away.

I do believe in it, if one really wants to achieve richness, he must have ways to attract it. And what attract wealth? Hard work, perseverance and patience. Hard work, do it to have good education, Bill Gates have good education in finding people who can help him develop softwares that he can sell, Henry Sy have good and solid basic education in finding people who have good connections and he made used of it to gain connections to lead him where he is today. Perseverance, don't let anything destroy your will, persevere and do your best. Patience, don't fall to get rich quick schemes. Slow but sure actions always give good results. An ordinary student worked hard, day and night he studied well, he bear all the hardship of being a student, even the financial crisis help him endured, he was patience, he slowly finished his course, staying over than the regular prescribed time and yet he finished his course...now, he's a lawyer, with good life not only for himself but for all of his family. If only young people will do the same, all students today will have good life after all the hard work.

I do agree with you Edna that in order to achieve richness is by working hard and persevere. It's the surest way of achieving wealth. But if you examine carefully what these rich people are doing they are not working too hard for their money. As one of my friends told me that most of the hardworking people do not get rich. Let's cite some examples. Let's take a look of the hardworking taxi/jeepney drivers, are they rich? The hardworking employees, are they rich? Nope. Millions of them are poor. They are still poor because they did not use the techniques what these rich people are doing.
One thing I'm sure, wealth can be acquired the other way around which is working smart not by working hard. That's what Bill Gates and Henry Sy are doing.

Law of attraction works in a miracle way. If you're a Christian you will know there is a verse which says, "Ask and You shall be given".
I believed this verse is the most powerful testimonial that "The Secret" is trying to show us today.
Those who dropped out from school and made their millions are those who have affirmation of what that wanted to achieve in their life and they sent out their message so clearly that they did not see the set backs while they're moving towards their dreams.
God teaches us to forgive because only though forgiveness,we are release from anger and hatred towards another. When we hate, we are actually hurting ourself.
The process of forgiving is not easy either. God made it tough because He wants us to know grow up in this process and be even a better person.
Mahatma Gandhi says this: The weak cannot forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.
Hope this helps.

Hi Jacklintan, thank you. You do have points.
"Ask and You shall be given is not that simple as how it is written in the bible. I do believe our requests can not be granted if we still carrying the so called excess baggages like hatred, anger and other bad feelings towards other people. According to my friend our hand are closed if we still have these negative feelings therefore it will make us unable to receive what we've been asking for in our prayers.
So for us to be worthy of receiving let's first become pure in our hearts, thoughts and feelings.

I do believe in this, but for me.. the title law of attraction doesn't really suite me, i'm more inclined to positive thinking. we all know that if you always think positively all will come to you, from happiness to wealth. EVERYTHING!
law of attraction basically makes positive thinking as its roots, in fact, law of attraction is a by product of positive thinking. for me law of attraction is not really the secret, but an idea which will guide you to the secret.

You are absolutely correct KnightMare911. I used the title "Law of Attraction" in my discussion because I feel it can attract more attention than the "Positive Thinking" title. If I'm not mistaken one of myLotters has already started the "Positive Thinking" discussion that's why I choose the title "Law of Attraction". At any rate, the bottom line of this discussion is the same as for the Positive Thinking. Hence, thank you so much for your comment. It shows only that my title I choose is more attractive than the other, hahaha.

Jiyeon, at the start I have doubts about this law but still I tried to apply one technique my friend told me about the law of attraction. Some sort of experimentation if I may call it. It seems it's working to me because since I started using the technique I always have extra cash in my pocket whenever I'm in a situation where money is involve. Unlike before most of the time I'm always deficit. The key to this technique is "POSITIVE THINKING".

If you really dig deep, the law of attraction is just one of many laws of the universe that basically states that "like attracts like." You attract what and who you are. What most of us do not understand is that we have some governance over who we are, meaning the thoughts that we think and the actions we take.
Law of attraction is much more than just believing, hoping or thinking; it's about becoming. Becoming that which you truly aspire to be so that you are no longer resisting it. When we have a poverty-mindset, why would we not manifest anything except poverty conditions into our lives. When you begin to change your mindset, your thoughts and actions start to change and you begin to manifest different conditions into your life.

Hi Beaufly, I do believe in this law, "Law of Attraction". But there is one problem that bothered me so much. It's the so called excess baggage we unconsciously carry everyday. I'm talking about those persons who have sinned against us. Do you think it's easy for us to forgive them easily? For me this is one of the biggest stumbling block for the law of attraction because according to my friend we can not receive what we are attracting for if our hands are empty of negative feelings or emotions. What about you, have you already resolved this so called excess baggage?
