Life is an Experiment in the World Laboratory

Each one of us is busy doing something or the other and gets happy when succeeds and sad when meets a failure. Since success is dependent on circumstantial factors apart from efforts of the individual, chances of succeeding are always less than fifty percent. Therefore, there are more of sad faces than the happy faces in the world at any particular time. And this makes face of the world look morose.
There is a way of making the world a happy place to live in and I try to apply this technique on my life. I treat every effort of mine as an experiment like I conducted in technical laboratories during my education. If the mind is preset like this before an effort is made, the results of the effort do not make me happy or unhappy. This way, I keep on moving from one experiment to another without getting soiled by sadness.
YOU too can do so.

Most technical experiments at the educational level have a foregone result - success, if the experiment is carried out correctly. It is only at the research level that sometimes one face failure or a result different from the expected one. Most research experiments have a predicted conclusion based on the knowledge that humans have gathered about the way the ingredients interact or the laws of nature behave. It is only when one factors in the unforeseen - something that can't be predicted, such as experiments involving living creatures and individual reactions - be they human or those of other life forms is there some sort of unpredictability about the result of an experiment.
For me, even lack of success is a sort of a success, for there are generally many learnings from lack of successes. Being sad, too is a part of life, and by itself is an experience that must be had to savor the many joys that life has to offer.
No offense intended

That's a great mindset the follow. Everyone sees the world differently no matter how small the difference is. Some see the world as a stage and everyone is an actor. Some see it as an art and everyone is a moving art. Apparently, you see it as a laboratory.

Hey! You're right! When ever I go into an exam or something I should not fail, I rather not tell myself to get A++, but I tell myself to do the best, given the situation. That way, if I fail or fail to achieve what I wanted to, I won't be so upset, and I'll just try better next time.
The experiments were a great analogy, as it also added that factor of 'random' in it!
Great comment!

Well, life is practically an experiment in many ways. Try and fail is the basic rule governing our life.
