I need a bathing suit

I need a bathing suit. I saw one I really liked at walmart, just got a $10.00 gc ordered from one of the sites I use, let's hope that the bathing suit will still be there when I get the GC next month. The bathing suit is green camouflauge and orange, it's a one piece. I much prefer the two piece, not the bikini but the tank and shorts set up. However, I like this one piece because it's camo.
I saw a bathing suit I liked at a good will but didn't have the money for it and I bet it's not there anymore. I have a pair of bathing suit shorts, but nothing I can use with it to swim in except for a t-shirt, that'd be fine but t-shirts get heavy sometimes whilst swimming.
I've not even been swimming yet, but hope to go soon.
Do you buy a new bathing suit every year? (I don't)
Have you bought one this year?

I don't buy bathing suits every year, and I did not buy one this year. I buy ones that I really like, so I am happy wearing them year after year as long as they still fit and have not worn out. The one that I have now I really would not feel comfortable wearing at a public beach, but it is fine for in our yard or with family.
I can't swim in T-shirts, because as you said they get too heavy. Do you have any tank tops that are light? They would probably be better for swimming than a T-shirt, because they allow more freedom of movement and they probably wouldn't get as heavy, either.

I have camisole type things, I do have a little shirt, it's white with flowers on it, it doesn't go all the way down my stomach. I don't know that I'd feel comfortable with wearing it where I'd be swimming though and like I said it's white, heeh, not a good idea. I have a purple camisole (not sure I want to wear it either) and an old green tank top that doesn't quite go all the way down.

LOL! Yes, that can be a problem, especially the white one. Of course, if you wear a pretty bra under it, then it might work.
I can understand wanting to keep your stomach covered though, especially since things tend to "creep up" while you are swimming anyway. If they start out already partly up, then who knows where they will end up, and that might not be appropriate, especially if you are swimming in public.
By the way, congratulations on your gift card!

Yeah that's what I am most afraid of, things creeping up. It won't be a public pool, but still inappropriate for who I will be around. Maybe I can go down to goodwill or find a nice little tank top thing at walmart. There might be something around here I can use, I've got other tank tops but they are more dressy.
Thanks for the congrats, it's a pretty easy site to use, I hate having to wait so long but I know that it's a legit site so worth the wait.

I actually own 2 bathing suits right now. I hardly ever wear one. Mostly when I am out mowing the lawn I will wear a bathing suit and shorts to try to get some sun on my pale white skin. I swear I look like Casper with freckles. I bought my suits last year I believe. I got them both at Goodwill. I figured why pay a lot for a suit I am not going to wear often.

I should check goodwill out before I go to walmart, though I have that giftcard I might find a suit I like for $2-3 at goodwill and be able to save my walmart gift card... I"m actually thinking of one particular good will now.
In any case, I don't tan I BUURRN. I'm pale white as well.

Cowgirl that is a great idea. Going to a secondhand shop is a great way to save money. Yard sales are another great place to find bathing suits and I can buy bathing suits for about a $1 or 2. Especially in the wealthier areas, you will find designer bathing suits for nothing. You should save that gift card, because you might need it for something more important. You may need some medicines or something. It will come in handy when you are stretching your dollars.

I wish they had layaway at Walmart like they used to. If you didn't have the money you could put it on layaway for $5 and then get it out when you got the money. The tank and shorts set up sounds comfortable. You could tie the t-shirt up alittle so it isn't so heavy or even cut it off.

I've tried tying the t-shirt, it isn't as heavy that way for me as it kind of "bumps" the chest and neck area up when floating, so that I look like a balloon a bit. I'll see what I can do, I'll probably just wear shorts and a t-shirt and deal with it for a bit until I do get a suit.
That is if I do go swimming this year, it all depends on if friends get their pool set up.

I was going to say if it is a public pool they may not let you in in anything but a suit. Being a private pool that probably wouldn't be a problem.

I don't wear bathing suits. Whenever I'm going for a swim at a resort, I always go naked.

wear you're birthday suit instead? Yeah I can't just do that, though it's nice (I've done it before) I can't do it in this pool.

Of course you can, all you need is positive thinking and some booze.

Hopefully they are still there at Walmart when you get your GC.
Thankfully, we guys don't have that pressure of getting bathing suits every year, or making sure that the one we have still suits us. We could get by with just any shorts!
Or at least I do.

Most guys do. Well now I have a job so I don't need to worry about keeping that GC for it. I may wait until the season ends, it's almost over anyway, and get some bathing suits for less.

I must admit I have a bit of a love of bathing suits, especially bikinis! I tend to get all excited every time I see one that I like and buy it, especially in Winter when they are all on sale and really cheap! So I now own about 10 bathing suits - silly, I know, when will I ever wear all of them! But its my little guilty pleasure - and at least I live near a beach so I do get a chance to wear them quite a lot in the summer time!

Everyone has their love of things! I love to buy underwear, I have so many pairs it's not even funny. I used to have enough pairs of underwear to last me every day of the year.

Mine can usually last me a few years, however, I gave my old one to goodwill or threw it away or something. I definitely need a new one, I want to go swimming, havent' been in four or five years.

$10 isnt bad for a bathin suit at all. I hope it is still there when you get the gift card but who knows. I need a new bathing suit as well. I bought a bikini a few years ago for $1 at deb but I dont like how it fits me. The other bikini I have is about 10 years old. I am sick of wearing them. I dont swim often but when I do I would rather have a bathing suit that I am not embarrassed to wear.

I don't do bikini's because I don't quite have teh body for it. I don't think I'd look terrible in it, but I wouldn't be very flattering either. That's why I like the tankini type things. Yeah $10.00 isn't bad for it at all.
