We all know about shopgoodwill, but is there a similar site to it for the salvation army? Anyone know of any onlin thrift shops, or online old timey country stores? I was just wondering, thinking about looking at a few, I need sone containers and such and thought maybe I could find some at a store online for cheap, if not out at the actual store itself.

There are plenty of thrift stores and consignment shops around me. One is called "Unique" and it has a few locations, but it is not everywhere. There are also some towns that are full of consignment shops and vintage stores. It depends on the area. eBay is like an online thrift store, everything is there, it's just a matter of paying for shipping, but they have a lot of stuff that is used or vintage.

Oh there's plenty of shops around here, but I was wondering about ones online mostly, just to see what else is out there. I probably wouldn't buy anything unless I found nice dishes, containers, etc, but I guess I'm a thrift junkie. If I had the money I'd be buying thrift stuff all the time.

I enjoy shopping on ebay.com. There are really nice deals. It is cheaper than thrift shops. I can always find designer clothing labels for a fraction of the price. One time, I bought three girls tank tops for $2. They were from the Gap and Limited too. For storage containers; it's probably garage sales. They are too heavy to mail.

There's been a lot of garage sales lately. I was at a friend's house and someone down the street was having one, I'd have gone provided I had any money then. I guess I'll also try dollar stores etc for some containers.

Did you know goodwill is online? You can shop through them kinda like Ebay. Here is the link for it: http://www.goodwill.org/get-involved/shop/shopgoodwill/ . I know a lot of people that use this and have had really great luck with it.
Just some other ideas...have you checked out any local antique shops? I know that we have a lot of places here that sell tons of antiques. They don't tend to have websites because their inventory goes in and out a lot and is always changing.
Most country shops online are expensive, from what I know. Good luck in your search! I honestly think trying something local would be your best bet and be sure to check out Goodwill online as well!!

I thought shopgoodwill.com was goodwill's website? I didn't realize they had another shop as well. I'll check that out. I am thinking of a few antique shops I can check out, but that won't be until later. I want to go for the antique shops, heavier stuff but better quality, last longer, more appeal to me.
