Is There A Quote You Live By?

My quote is "life is like a coin. You can spend it any way you want, but you only spend it once". It reminds me everyday to live well and dont hold back, you never know about tomorrow.

Mine is from the movie Road House , " Be nice until it is time Not to be nice." I respect everybody until someone does me wrong , and then I turn into a huge problem for them! Sometimes I want to wear a shirt that says Warning! I go from nice to b!tch in 6 seconds!

Woo, weird. I'd have said almost exactly the same thing: Hope for the best but plan for the worst. Slight difference since I don't 'expect' it, I just plan for it. For about 20 years my motto was "Life sucks but that's just life."

This is one that I live by. It from an interview with former yankee 2nd baseman Willie Randolph. Long time ago. "Ain't no use worrying about something you got no control over, cause if you got no control over it, ain't no use worrying about it." If it is out of my control, I am not going to stress. Might live longer that way. lol

I like your quote. It seems to fit my life as well, but the one that I've always liked is from a Shakespeare play, "To thine ownself be true". I don't know why exactly but that quote has always stuck with me. It also seems to fit my life & the way that I feel as well.

My favorite one since high school is "if others can, why can't i?".Everytime i encounter some difficulties and seems can't do things right, i just go back to this qoute.Everything is achievable as long as you put your heart and mind into it.

I think it depends on what is going on in my life..right now it is, "Every person for him or herself" I think I have been a door mat long enough and it's time to make my voice heard...

I don't think I have a quote that I live by, but your quote of: HOPE FOR THE BEST BUT EXPECT THE WORST is also appropriate for me. I am a bit of a pessimist, and I always expect the worse on everything. That way, I'd be pleasantly surprised if something good does happen.

There are several maxims that my mother used to quote to me all the time that I can honestly say that I live by. The three that really stick out are: "Where there's a will, there's a way." "Beggars can't be choosers." and "Never look a gift horse in the mouth." There are others but these three are the top ones on my list.

i have an adapted quote, though i am not sure that i actually live by it, just i would like to. i have quite a few issues with fear, and one day i went to the local "storytelling centre" to buy some tickets for a workshop but i was scared, and i talked to the woman selling them, and she told me about the winnie the pooh story where he is scared to do something because the sky might fall in, and someone says to him "but the sky might not fall in". but that doesn't work for me as the sky may well fall in, who knows, so i adapted it to "well if the sky falls in, the sky falls in" but i tend to aspire to live by this than actually do.

yes i have -- you can do whatever you want, just dont let me know. i just made it up myself. im the type of person who will give you freedom, do whatever you even if i dont like it or will make me sad but just try not to let me know. it's cool with me. another qoute i live by is -- Patience is a virtue. there are things that i dont like, and sometimes they get into my nerves.. but of course, that's their personality or this and that is how it goes in this world. i believe in this -- if you have problems with others, then its you who just cant get along. of course, thats not in all situation but we can always control.

I think if there was a quote that I lived by it would be "live your dreams" or "It is never too late to be what you might have been". Some days, I get discouraged, because I think I've still got so much studying to do, and I'm a skint student etc, but I try and think about anything I can do NOW that will help me to achieve my dreams later ie earning on mylot now, to pay for web hosting for my blog later, writing for other people's blogs now, to increase my writing skills and build my cv later etc etc. I don't know how well the quote fits my personality though! I'm generally a lazy sort of person, as well as being highly sarcastic, and those quotes tend to make me think of someone upbeat and chirpy!

My life is all about having fun that's why i i live life is fun if you don't think it is just be an optimist like me thing good for everything and have fun enjoy it.
