Hi guys! Today, I'm starting MyLot at 650. I don't usually mind the number beside my name since it just adds up every time I make a post. Today though, I'd like to make an exception just for the fun of it! How about you guys? Do you usually do this? Or you also do not care of the number beside your names?

Hi beingwell! Yes it does matter a lot to me. As you can see that I have already reached 500 which means I can use the copy and paste feature. I have been very excited to reach this number and even more excited to participate since this feature will be very helpful for me, and posting will be more convenient from now on. This means that I already have the reputation to do copy and paste.

I've been with myLot for almost 6 months now but became inactive for the past 3 months due to some hardware problems with my computer. I've just returned 2 weeks ago and been very happy to be back again. My referrer actually is inactive now maybe because he's been very busy and not much time to spend here or maybe he's interest disappeared as he's more fond with other social networking sites. Well I never managed to ask him the reason though. Anyway, I've been very glad to have continued with myLot.

I don't usually do that. I just glance a bit to that number and here I go. Commenting here and there. To say that I don't care the numbers at all, I think I do care a bit but it does not matter as I still can't say much on how much I will earn that day.(^^)

HI sis! But i don't think that's your actual point because you did start a few discussions and you reply to all of them so you already made more than 15 in 3 to 4 hours! I admit that I am not good in typing fast so I just can get not more than 20 posts if I am not mistaken with no new discussions started! So you do better than me sis!!(^^)

Hi there CT! I'm so naive about the rules here. I only know the basic stuff. Those that affect me directly.hahaha! So I didn't care of the number before too. But then again, I'm actually glad I did that experiment because I learned a little bit more about MyLot through this. I was able to add 15 something, let's call it points, to my number yesterday. And that was my entire day of contributing to MyLot. I'd say about 3-4 hours, on and off. So at least I know now about how much points I can make in a day, given my usually efforts.

I care for numbers when am nearing round figures. When I was nearing my 10000 posts, I tried my best to reach the number, as quickly as possible. Numbers show our consistentcy on mylot.

Wow! You are doing great! And what great number, too! Hmm...this gives me an idea. Perhaps I'll race myself to reach a thousand before the year end. Yikes!! Can I do it? I dunno...that seems to be a give challenge. What do you think?

The number is an indicator how long one has been and how active one has been in the community. I don't really mind about it, any way. I just keep on staying active in the community as much as time permits. My time on myLot does get limited some times with mu full time job taking most of the hours on some days.

Thanks for your inputs greenline. In that case, you're really one of the active members here, aren't you? I've been here for more than a year, and still look at my number. Anyway, my goal this month is to bump my number to a thousand. You think I can do that with 3-4 hours a day, 5 days a week, at least?

Hi, there! What does the number beside our name means? I honestly don't get bothered by it. I thought it's the number of friends we have but as I've checked in my profile, it doesn't coincide. Hehehehe... I feel so helpless with it. :(

Hi jdex! The number beside our names does not mean the number of friends we have here. It also doesn't mean the number of posts we've made. I think it shows how active we are in this site. You're at 400, you must be doing well. Are you?

Hi niftytrader! That's great. As for me, it surprises me every time I hit a hundred mark. You're right, it's exciting. I consider them as one of my achievements here in MyLot. I like to see my number grow each day, as well!

Normally I don't care about the number next to my name - I guess it just reminds me of how busy (or not) that I have been here in the last 4/5 years It is exciting to see the number rise.

It's there beside your name akki. Kidding aside though, there's really no point for us to monitor the number. I'm just curious how it works. Like now, I realize that not every post I make would add up to my number. I thought differently before. At least now I know that our number do not represent the number of successful posts we've made on the site. Interesting, isn't it?

Since I am new here, it's fun to see the number go up. I would like to get into the hundreds and then the thousands. I don't want to be the new guy forever. I've seen some people here have already made an huge number of posts. I'm not sure if I will ever catch up. I guess I'll just keep having fun and doing lots of writing to work my way up.

Hi Dwarf! I think you're going good! Keep it up and you won't notice it rise every day. Now that I know more, my first intention here in MyLot is to have fun first so the money follows. Best of luck!
