I am a non-US citizen, but recently, I discovered that I have a valid, legal USA social security number. How is that possible?

That's possible if you say so, i am sure it is pretty cool to have a valid SSN.

Of course it has to be valid and legal how else could it be. US citizen or non US citizen, unless you paid for it, then that's another story.
