the ones who get in your way in fulfilling your dreams are the ones you love?....
I'm just wondering if anyone of you felt this way. You know the feeling when you want to do something in your life that you know will help to improve not only yourself but also your family life, but then instead of getting some support from them, all you'll get are discouragements?. They may not tell it straight to you face but you can feel it in their actions.
Sometimes it's sad to think that other people believe in you but your loved ones don't...

This is true. I also felt this way.. I feel like my mother seem to disagree on me on what to do with my life. What job I should have. I wanted to become a medical representative and there are opportunities for me to become such. But it seems like my mother doesn't feel that I can be effective on the job. Instead of pushing me through what I really wanted, I get discouragements.
Maybe this is the reason why it took me so long to have a job. :(

It is your life and not theirs'. If you feel they are getting on your dreams for no specific or logical reason you have to move on and prove at least to yourself that you can do it. I know that support from family is important, but sometimes facing it alone should not be the reason why we shouldn't try to accomplish what we want. Yes, I have felt that too and it is so annoying because we depend on these people and instead they do the worst opposite.

Getting enough support from my family is very important to me, it makes me feel much better knowing that they believe in me. Knowing that atleast someone believes in you, uplifts your spirit and give you boost in doing what you can do best. Getting vice versa really feels so deflating and depressing.

I felt that way before, now I'm ignored because i spoke up. I know they always meant well, but I'm too old and have a new life now. Husband and a baby. Long story. Everything will be okay. I'm enjoying the silence for the moment.

Oh I can relate to that. It's very disappointing when it's my family who gets in the way of my fulfilling my dreams. But I am not giving up on my dreams. So if you are speaking about yourself, then I would encourage you to go all out to pursue your dreams.
