Failure as a formula for Success.

I was reading this morning and came across this very important quote by the founder of IBM, ThomaS J. Watson. We always believed that failures or mistakes are useful because we learn from them. Watson said that the way to success is tho double the rate of failure. Which is so true, isn't it?
I read that there are times when making mistakes is not a good idea because it might cost you your job, marriage or even life. Then, again there are times when making a mistake may result in the most appropriate course of action. That mistakes offer invaluable learning experiences. And that in the creative process, mistakes are necessary. Each mistake bushwhacks a clearer path to a more viable answer and that errors are steppingstones to the next workable possibility. Fear of failure can immobilize the creative process.

Thanks for sharing this food for thought. sometimes, it is easy said than done. No one wants to fail. and as much as possible we want to succeed. but yeah this post of yours enlighten my mind that everyone has the chance to succeed no matter the failures had been. failures make us a better person if we learn from them. but if we don't, then we are forever a failure. no one is a failure if we try.

A wise person will rise from failure but someone who is foolish will only see it as a curse. So you see, failure as a formula for success doesn't apply to all. This saying should be pondered by those who seek wisdom.
Failures should serve as a motivation for us all and i hope that everybody is wise enough to know this.
Nice of you to share.

Very true discussion started hi friend its really great discussion, we always have been hearing that failures are stepping stones to success, and that if one fails he/she should never lose hope because just the next stone is success may of us fail to know this. Often when failures come around us through troubles miserableness such problems are not worth it but if we see in the positive direction we have many things to learn from this lets take an example of a relationship when a relationship ends both are in pain but there is lot to learn instead of living in pain we have a choice to see the mistakes we have done and then live accordingly, Each and everything that happens always has a positive aspect so no matter it may be a big depression if we change the attitude of living and see things positively we can have a great formula for success.

I think failure teach us that the try for success in not enough from a person. So try again and again until you get success. I want to say that if we get failure in our first time then it should not be mean that we have not guts to get success but it mean that try again and you can get success. Because we have more experience from our failure and also we can careful that again in next attempt we will not doing these things that make us failure in our first attempt. So failure is a formula of success.

I definitely believe that in order to succeed, you have to have a whole lot of failure - its only those that are willing to take the risk and to try and do things that no one has ever done before that really make a difference in life and are truly successful! Its extremely difficult to become successful without even a little bit of risk - you certainly can't play it safe your whole life! Here's to embracing failure and acknowledging how it makes you grow and learn!

A cliche that has been repeated so often - Failures are stepping stones to success.
Watson just put that in different words. Failures can be useful if the failure results into learning and the failed and the concerned person doesn't repeat the same mistake/s that lead to the failure.
Yes, some failures lead to very very difficult situations such as loss of jobs and even more, but the sufferer too must learn and try and improve and not repeat the mistake/s.

Hi, I agree to your point. Failure is the stepping stone to succeed in life. When you do mistake, you learn from that experience. Try try but never cry in your life.
