Different people have different reasons for writing online. I do it because of addiction. I simply love writing. It is a way for me to feel good about myself. But I chose the online path because it is easier to type!
What is your reason behind your writing career online?

I write online because of the money. It helps me pay the bills each month.

That is the best thing about writing online. Both paying bills and savings get some extra strength. I will just say that it is kind of like a secure job where we are our own boss. Yes, there are people owning the writing sites, but they do not directly tell us how and when we should finish our writing projects.

Hi athena!
I do it because I am learning through it and sharing it with others. Even write in here is a kind of learning to me. The earning part is just a part of it. Even if we have blogs we don't earn anything but still write something into it and we share it with others. And went I get into too much I will addicted to it so it's eventually be my addiction so I just write and write. Writing, reading are things that I really enjoy so much!!(^^)

Yeah, whatever the reason is, the content of the site or writing is the only stuff that I are concerned. If it provides me with info I will surely be there. As mylot it is one of the good site which we can share and opinions with one another from all over the world.(^^)

Shvoong accepts only reviews right? It is wonderful that you get paid so much from that site. I wanted to try it out, but then thought to concentrate just on Bukisa, Triond and Firehow. Now I am more into blogging.

There is a dictation job online? I had no idea about it. But it must be fun to do. But why don't you write articles anymore?

To be honest I have no idea how I'll earn by writing online. I have written in sites like Triond but the pay is so sooooo less so i don't even bother for the pay. i write coz I feel lie writing or saying something. And I am really thankful to the few people who stops by and read them

Oh no, why didn't they pay you? Did you promote your articles? I won't say it dramatically improves page views, but whatever we get might be enough.

I write because I love to - I spend as much of my free time as possible either reading or writing. I don't write for money, purely because I don't really understand where to start. Everyone says to write on Associated content, but I don't think I can as I'm from the UK and there seem to be very mixed opinions on sites like Triond, so I never know whether it's worth doing it or not.
Where and what do you write?

Forgot to mention, that I am now just concentrating on blogging. I added the site to my profile page. I write about makeup, astrology, skin care products and every other thing that is girly in nature. I am good at those only!

I write online for many reasons. But mainly because I love it. I didn't really start writing seriously until I came online, way back in 2006. Slowly at first; some versified pieces, some memoir-based pieces; then I built up a full memoir. Which has since expanded into various genres. I don't intend to sop. Although I do suffer exhausted periods, where I can barely write anything!

And I still make soppy mistakes: I don't intend to "sop"? Sop what? Sorry; I meant stop (smile).

I enjoy writing and have written for many years before the Internet came to my home. I do earn a little money from writing on line, but not a fortune, but from what I can see, unless you write a best-seller novel, it will be a struggle. Meanwhile I just enjoy the exprience and have made lots of on-line friends and gotten loads of advice about computers and other things since I wrote. Mainly though, it must be a hobby as I wouldn't like to rely on it to make a living, or we'd have problems paying the bills! _Derek

Do you write for the content mills? They can actually allow you to really make a fortune. It just takes time. I see writing online like a secure investment. The articles keep making money even when we are not touching them. I heard of several people who quit their day job because they were able to make more just by writing online.

First it is because writing is my passion and of course as a wise person I want my passion to be converted into something really worthwhile and this is not just by having self satisfaction but also by earning out of it. So this is the reason why I write online, to satisfy my passion and at the same time to earn.

You are so right. There are double advantages to writing online. One allows us to explore our writing passion and the other one is earning from it. Who do you write for?

I write online for fun and of course the money, too. I first started to write in Mylot then slowly i get to know many writing sites. So, i write for those writing sites is to earn some income from them. As for Mylot, i will always says it is for the fun of it and the chance to meet many new friends as well. So for me, i can said that i have developed the interest and thus enjoy the passion of writing through online.

Yes, you are right. Mylot taught me about many different earning opportunities. This site is very helpful. It is great to have so many friends here with whom it is possible to have a respectful discussion. For a while, I did not like it much. So I took a break. But now I am enjoying every bit of it. It is like a healing process. When I am down I just come here. As soon as I start to answer a few questions I find myself getting over any sadness. Mylot is no less than a writing site.

I enjoy writing online for various reasons, It does give a little extra money and I enjoy putting my view across on a number of subjects. I earn the most money online from Writing Reviews.

That is good. Actually, you are doing the right thing. Reviews never get old and since they are less online they always get more views. I learned this trick of getting maximum page views a few years ago while experimenting with this specific topic. Everything in our house can earn us money.

I like to write. Writing online is a good way for my work to be seen. I have recently started a blog about animals. I do rescue and am a pet sitter. Between the two, I have a lot of material to write about. My blog address is on my profile. I'd appreciate it if all my friends went to it.

Personally,I like writing.I wrote for a Chinese forum before I sighed up mylot. The articles mostly pertained to my speciality,so I felt so pleasant that I was never bored with it,even though it was a website that didn't pay. Here on mylot,I mainly improve myself in English. As to making money, I still have a long way to go,because my English isn't all that hot.

Your English is fine. It's better than many native English speakers. I had a roommate for 2 months and I was always biting my tongue because her grammar was atrocious. She was born and raised in America, so there was no excuse.

Of course, that is true. Mylot is just like Yahoo Answers where we can have some fun discussing everything under the sun. The money is just a reward and encouragement so we keep doing it. I see it as very fair.

We have so much freedom online that it seems to be a better place for pouring out our words than just talking to people face to face. Some things, of course, can never be expressed verbally.

You are right, I believe at Triond we have more freedom to express our views. Certain sites don't allow that. They are more concentrated on articles that express knowledge. It is actually reminding me of Bukisa.

I love such type of discussions, we can happily and openly freak out our opinions without hiding anything.we can share every thing this makes us to think more about a particular topic and can learn many things, others suggestions also helps us to be better. Some topics will be pretty interesting to discuss, some brings us a change in our selves.

You are totally right. Discussing through writing is better than chit chatting. Also we cannot deny the fact that sometimes verbally we are not careful with our words. This makes the other party disappointed and mad. The writing allows us to watch out words. We appear more formal and respectful. I like the fact that sites like Mylot reinforce it in the form of guidelines.

I am just passionate about it and when online writing emerged, I found the opportunity to have my work published. The money behind is just an added bonus. I believe that in anything we do, we will have the satisfaction if we have a great desire or passion to do it otherwise it would be worthless.

I started a while back, and now I just can't stop. I just like question and answer sites. I like the discussions on this site. I have a lot of fun doing it, but I also like earning a little extra cash. I usually spend the money I make on things I wouldn't normally buy.

I totally agree with you. It is great that we get reward for discussing. I think the questions allow us to create structure for what we wish to write about. Also they let us express our views more logically. Sometimes this becomes absent in articles. They need a little bit too much reviews so they look all professional.

Writing used to be my hobby. But the more I wrote the more it turned into addiction. The money coming from it is definitely one of the best thing. Others should try it out.
