Facebook-A great place for marketing

Hi friends,
A company or a person must do marketing to make his product or his discovery to make people aware of it.Initially markting was done through newspaper,then it gradually moved to TV,Radio etc.And now the new trend is marketing online and especially through facebook.I see alot of products,events,movies,albums have been marketed through facebook.Becuase it has the prestidge of being the No.1 social networking sit.Therefor marketing through facebook will reach a large amount of people and also you don't need to spend a great amount of money to market there.Just you nedd to spent a small amount of time to post ther.
WHat is your opinion about this??

Yeah. I agree. You won't need much capital if you want to market your product on Facebook. You just have to be visible always to your target market.
Nowadays, I see a lot of multilevel marketing or networking groups inviting their participants or members through Facebook. Another thing, you can now shop in Facebook since there are a lot of online shops.

The great advantage of facebook is the number of people using it and the amount of traffic it has in the network..

And, since it is online, the buyers have the opportunity to look for other products similar to yours but at a lower price. That would give them higher bargaining power.

Yup. Just the massive population of users makes facebook one of the best place for marketing online! With so many people wanting to check out new things and trends, the facebook presents the greatest opportunity for publicity.

I just wrote and published my first book "Realmwalkers" and made a page there in Facebook. I am hoping this is one way to market there. I have seen other companies do the same. I am not sure what I am doing yet but I agree with you all. Facebook, as well as other social networks, is an inexpensive way to market your products and services. I am sure I have a long way to go in learning the many things one can do there to market, but I am ready to try it out.
