Hello MYLOTTERS,
Do you remember the birth days of your friends, relatives, family members and wish them on that date?.
I always remember as i actually put reminders in my mobile for remembering B'days of all and never forget to wish them all.
If you remember what is the method/technique you apply to remember the dates? Please share.

I remember the birthdays of the relatives that I frequently talk to and my closest friends. Having spent so many birthdays together we eventually remember the date. Also if its a group of close friend or relatives, one person is bound to remember and remind everyone else.
Honestly I doubt many people even bother to do this anymore considering that facebook usually alerts people. Suddenly loads of birthday wishes from people I haven't spoken to in ages.

I used to memorized their birthdays but there are still some birthdays and I have them in my phones note/reminder.(^^) There are even the same birthdays which I wrote in my books, papers and everywhere! Hehe..just in case if I can't remember them but most of the time I do know when their birthdays are~ One of my nephew birthday was on the past few days and her mother plan to celebrate in on weekend~ (^^)

Hello CT,
Thats right we human beings cannot memorize all things so we need some method to get it reminded on the actual day and all methods like writing down on calender, setting reminders in mobile phones are appropriate ones and help us to do that.

I always try and remember. I have a birthday book which I write friends & family members in. I then store them in my calendar on my phone to remind me as well... I think its nice to be remembered on your birthday. So sending them a simple birthday message is a really nice thing to do, even if they don't want to be reminded they are another year older... It's their special day

I honestly say I remember my families birthdays. When it comes to friends, I rely on facebook as a reminder. I don't have a method to remembering birthdays, some falls on holidays, while one falls on the same day that my brother passed away. So that's not hard to forget. The rest, if I don't have it written down, I will forget. I learn as I get older I tend to forget a lot of things. Luckily, I have reminders or I would have very angry loved ones.

I have so many books with dates and information in it. I also have a 9 year old that likes to take my books and move them around or even worse write over things in them. I do write dates on a calendar, but that doesn't always help, if you forget a birthday.

I remember during my high school days. They used to call me the master mind in our "barkada" because according to them I was good with the memorizing things and events. I dont really jot down birth dates. i just remember them especially if these persons are dear to me I could easily remember their birthdays. That's it no method no technique plain remembering.

THnk you. Why wont you ask your brother maybe he has a technique on how to remember dates. What keep me from remembering dates is I always think that if i will forget one of these birthdates I'm sure they will get mad at me. That's it I don
t want my friends, family relatives & etc get mad at me for not remembering their especial day.

I have a diary where I write all of my friends and family members' birthdays down. They're listed by the months. If I'm worried I could forget, I also place a note on my cell phone as reminders. Facebook have reminders but not all friends list down their birthdays to be shown. I would always send them a birthday wish.

Hello Kry,
Oh yes there are chance of forgetting the dates when you rely on the diary but to feed them in the mobile calender is the concrete way to remember these and it won't remind you only in the case when you mobile get corrupted or damaged.hehehe

I write ALL of the important birthdays down in my date book. I really remember my mom, kids, husband, now grand kids. I do still remember my sisters and bother's birthday, but don't call them because we have had a BIG falling out and don't speak to each other unless my mom is in the hospital.
A good way to remember friend's birthdays is to follow them on Facebook.

I am not the type who remember birthday of friends and relatives except few very, very close ones. I am very poor in remembering birthdays I admit. This is the reason why I am in a way thankful to Facebook because it reminds me whose birthday it is for the day. I am the complete opposite of my husband who remembers practically all birthdays of people he knows (even the birthday of his classmates in elementary even if he has not seen them for decades )
But for my family I always make sure I don't miss their birthdays.

I used to have a great memory for when it came to birthdays. I used to send or give out birthday cards so the person would receive the card on, or a day before, their birthday. It seems now that I am in my 30s, it's not so much that I forget the actual birthdays, but I tend to forget to send a card so they will receive it on their birthday . I do have birthdays written down on a calendar (old fashioned, I know), but with the business of being an adult, I still forget to send the card. However, they will receive a Happy Birthday e-mail from me on their birthday so they know I did not forget.

Hello mindym,
Thats true people do like to be wished on their birthdays.Their are few people who do remember to wish their friends on the actual day because of the busy life today.I also though knowing it that today is my friend's birthday sometimes forget to wish him/her which is bad on our part.

I usually remember, but I put them on the calendar at the start of the new year just in case. The thing I usually forget is ages, unless there is some way to figure it out (like being 20 years older than me). It is strange that you should start a discussion about birthdays. Mine is tomorrow and we'll see how many people remember!

I do remember the birth dates of my friends, relatives and do greet them during their natal day. I just remember their birthdays, I don't have any method of remembering it. Before I used to write the birthdays on my planner but now I can easily remember their natal day. Maybe because most of them mean so much to me, that's why I can easily remember there birthdays.

Honestly.. no. Because, I myself don't celebrate my birthday so I don't find the need to remember anybody's birthday. I even sometimes forget my own birthday!
The only people I know birthdays are my parents and brother and my birthday. It is because sometimes, in filling up forms, I need those. We don't do anything special on our birthdays. It's just like another regular day.. but we do remember to add a year when somebody asks how old we are.

Hi sjvg1976..
Lol.. there are 6 in total in my immediate family..My Mum, Dad, 2 brothers and a sister- and all our birthdays are within the first 6 months of the year..
Mum- 14th January.. Brother- 17th January.. Dad- 9th February.. Twins 13th April and then theres me 28th June! (",)
Its an absolute 'sin' shall I call it, if we forget ones birthday LoL..so its best not to forget..
As for my friends..well they always remind me of the exact dates.. but two of my best friends are never forgotten..19th October and 23rd December.. they have never forgotten mine..so I think the same decency should be shared..
But then again I always will remember my ex's birthday 18th August.. dont know why?. LoL

Hello Vivamir,
hahaha that happens when you are closed to some one at least you don't forget her/his birthday i have noticed in most of the cases with people, they have breakups but still remember each other's birthdays.
Its nice to hear that you don't forget the birthdays of your family members & your closed ones and people should not forget also. They should have the courtesy that if someone is wishing you on your birthday then its always your duty not to forget his/her and wish her/him on the actual day.

I am really bad at remembering birthdays and often had to be reminded! I tend to remember my own, although sometimes I think I have too many of them.. And I remember those of my sisters and my wife. But when it comes to cousins, friends or other dates, if they are not written down on the calandar I am always forgetting. Many people don't remember mine either, but I'm OK about that as I prefer to forget it myself anwyay. Or perhaps I just do it deliberately that wasy I can stay younger for longer! _Derek

I am usually pretty good about remebering the birthdays of my friends and relatives and anyone else important in my life i may even remenber the birthdays of people i don't even know that well. i know what it is like to have a birthday forgotten by a loved one. i don't wnat someone else to have that feeling too if i can prevent it., i think that everyone should at least have a good day on their birthday.

Honestly, Im having a hard time memorizing the birth dates of my family member. I only do remember the birth day of my brother who's next to me. I used to write the birth dates in a piece of paper and keep it inside my wallet. With regard to my relatives, I really don't care about their birth dates. we are not that close. I care more about the birthday of someone whose dear to my heart.
