Experiencing Death or Am I Really Dead?

I have an experience. I do not know if I really died at the hospital or I am alive at that day. I did not experience 'out of the body' nor I did not see 'lights', 'devil' and 'angels'. I just saw black. It is like a 'battery' or a 'flaslight' which you could switch off and on. I keep searching on the internet about the experience I had from the hospital, but I could not find any. I even search 'near death experience' and 'out of the body experience', but all I read was about a 'light'. From their testimonies, they saw a 'light' -- a 'bright light' and some say they were floating in the air then, I have also read that they were the same as mine. On my experience, it took only one second before I saw myself that I was still on the hospital. This experience of mine was the same to the experience of atheist that I read on the internet, but not all of them. Some atheist that I read on forums where they telling their experiences to other forumers. I am a Christian, but I just saw black and that is all. I just saw a pure black. It feels like a 'switch off battery' or a 'switch off light' from your room. Anyone? Do you know the meaning of this? I do not understand the meaning of 'black'.
