what birthday gifts you give for your elder family members

I bought a bag for my mom as a birthday gift. This coming August is my grandmother's birthday. She don't like any special gifts so she just prefer sweets or food. I'm planning to buy her a Cheesecake which is her favorite.

chocolate, gourmet coffee or teas, puzzle books, a star named after them, a donation in their name to the local zoo or wild life preserve, volunteer your time, help with yard work, make them dinner including the clean up, take them out to dinner.

I often give my grandmother books. She is interested in the royal family, and if I can find some books with pictures of the royal family I buy them for her. Sometimes I make my own presents instead of buying something in a shop, One year I made her a calendar with pictures of her family, and she was very happy to receive a personal gift like that. Another year I bought a huge picture frame and filled it with pictures of my brother, my cousin and myself. That present also made her very happy. I haven't decided what I am going to make or buy this year for christmas, but I still have time to think of something.

I may suggest give them cash and a card. A tight hug and kiss will do while handling them the card with cash inside. Sometimes elders don't want things as they seem to have a lot of everything. But if s/he really loves to read,then a boos is a good idea. Have a good day and welcome to mylot jaiho®
