Does the "law of attraction" violates any christian beliefs?

I'm just wondering if believing in the law of attraction contradicts with our religious beliefs (i'm a catholic). In a class discussion I heard someone said that believing in the "law of attraction" is like believing in a World with no God. I mean, If you wished someone dead, it may come true if you always think about it? Looks like that's not the work of God.

Any religion that tell you it is a sin to be attracted to another person probably doesn't deserve your whole devotion to it, it is very natural for the law of attraction to exist among living species including human being.
