You must be very tired and over fatigue. Try to calm yourself before sleeping or avoid any vigorous exercises minutes before sleeping. I do a lot of water cleansing & prayer before sleeping. Instead of counting sheep, I do supplication to God until I fall asleep.

I'm going to try and learn how. I am a Christian and what better way to start than to communicate with God.

I will tell u a good technique then. you can easily listen to slow music which can make you cool before go to sleep because it will calm your mind before sleeping and it will help you for sure until you find out about and practice meditation.

Some nights I have the same problem , especially those days when I was so busy and stressed with so many things at my work place. One way which I have found very helpful and have been practising is yoga meditation. That helps relaxing and getting rid of the mental stresses.

I know how you feel because I have had MANY sleepless nights. I was unfortunate to inherit insomnia from my Dad's side of the family, but luckily I usually only have it when I am stressed out. One thing that I have tried and I think works is Lavender Linen Spray. I spray it on my pillows and 99% of the time, I sleep GREAT! Lavender has many benefits, including calming the mind and body. You could even search for recipes online and make it at home. Good luck!

Thanks mindym, my wife said she has heard of this and she will look for lavender. Where we are in the Philippines though, it might not be readily available. But we will look.

I should try the gym. There is a gym right down the street. My wife and I have talked about joining but we still have not. Maybe it's time I look into it more.
Maybe I'm just getting old (I said maybe lol). I remember my dad as he got older he would go to sleep very early and get up also very early. Thanks Ann...hope all is well with you.

I have heard that putting ice on your wrists for a few minutes will slow down the system and help you sleep. I have never tried it, however, because I have never had problems sleeping. It could also be the heat, if you are experiencing a hot summertime right now. If you are still using a comforter, switch it out for a thin sheet.

I have tried ice on wrists and my temples but it just felt like it made me more awake. It is hot here though and I don't sleep with any kind of cover. Thanks lilbabycatapiller.
