So there I was - with my Daughter on her Honeymoon

The wedding was wonderful and it all went smoothly and she looked wonderful. Totally radiant and so it really was memorable. My GF's decorated the Church and it was all so good. The Brits that came over stayed at the hotel where the reception was held and I shared a room with my sister. Actually it is a couples hotel and she paid for the room thinking it was single but it was double occupancy so I just moved in My daughter and her husband got three nights free at this hotel before they moved to another on further up the coast. I had the most wonderful vacation at this 5 star hotel, despite my sister sleep walking most nights after she was drunk. It was a bit embarrassing running after her and bringing her back into the room. But I coped as I had not paid for a thing and it was glorious. I did acquacise classes every morning in a mineral pool just to work off a bit of the food that I had eaten. It was great being with my daughter and her husband for those three days. My sisters and I stayed eight days. So - did any of you go on honeymoon with your child?

Sweetie, i hope you saved me some of that vodka. I baked you some of those awesome muffins you like so much. Anyway, i am glad you had a good time. It's nice to spend such special moments with your family. Did the other one behave herself for one day at least?

I gather there are a lot of photos where she had pushed her head in between the Bride and Groom. On the day my other sister kept a close eye on her so she did not interfere with my daughter. We dressed separately - I was with my daughter and the female members of the Bridal party. She was so calm and I was nervous. Were the muffins good?

Why do they always push their heads in between people? Anyway, the muffins were great. Sorry, i ate them all.

You're forgiven. She pushed her head in between the couple because she was drunk I sent you some photos I believe last night. did you get them?

i've never been on honeymoon with anyone. and i don't really think i'd like to.. i love that you had a wonderful time, but i just personally feel like a honeymoon should be personal for the two people that got married. their first private few days of being a married couple.. and i don't think i'd like to tread on anyones toes.. obviously your family etc is different, but i don't think i'd like my mother to be on my honeymoon lol.. especially not with what a honeymoon is meant to be about ;) lol if you know what i mean!

Oh, the rest of my family did not intrude but we did meet for lunch and dinner - not breakfast. we got a deal on the reception if we all stayed at the same hotel. The newly weds had no problem with that at all. we are a close family

Ir was the best holiday of my life even though the eldest sister caused problems. My other sister helped me to deal with her Her sleep walking was a bit scary though Rachel was very happy.

It was a bit tough with her but my other sister was there to give me a break so it went okay. The sleep walking was nerve wracking as she doesn't see well and is tripping up a lot. I did not have a honeymoon either. Got married on a Saturday and went back to work on the Wednesday

Hi ya Cynth I am so glad to here that the wedding went so well and you had the most lovely time. As my kids are still very young, too young to get married, way too young, no I have not been on honeymoon with any of my children - yet hahaha. Having said that, my mum did actually come on honeymoon when I got married. She had to come with us because we were in another country and there was no where for her stay on her own!

When I first read the headline, I thought you stayed with them in their room! Eight days of vacation?! What is that? I've never had one of those. But I guess if it's a wedding for your kid, and you worked tirelessly to make it happen, then I guess you deserve some 8 days of rest (even if you have to do acquasize in the mornings)!

Apologies for the delay in answering - it has all been so hectic. I have never experienced a vacation like this before and it was wonderful especially as I did not pay for it! The daughter left after 3 days to another hotel further down the coast. If I could upload a photo then I would as she looked so very beautiful

I got sons, so I hope they could also be as handsome when they get married. And hopefully, I will still be around.

I am glad you had a good time. My kids are not old enough to get married yet, so I have not done that. I don't know that I would be invited along on either of theirs though.

If the family stayed at the hotel then there was a big discount on wedding reception. Hence all the overseas family booked in. It was lovely and I am so happy for her

Wow, that sounds absolutely glorious, even better because it was free! My daughter is only nine so we have a little way to go before she’s ready for a honeymoon! I doubt very much that she would want me along but you never know…I will be very nice to her from now on…She may treat me to hotel stay one day…It sounds like you had a fantastic time and I am very glad for you…You lucky girl!

This is funny. I am not married yet but I can't imagine my mother coming with me on my honeymoon. It's kind of awkward i think. :)

No we got a discount on the reception if people stayed at the hotel so the family from the U.K. stayed. It was a great holiday.
