Oh how I hate when 6 pm comes around because we have a bar across the street from my house. Each day he gets louder and louder!
The cops have been called many times and they do nothing because they are corrupt here and he is paying them off. They drive by and just keep on going.
We have tried everything!
Now, he knows what we are talking about on our own porches, on the internet, on the phone. He has cameras pointed at our houses. I feel like I am being held captive in our homes!
He has beat up a neighbor kid and no one is "allowed" to "walk" on "his" sidewalk around the two sides of the bar. The cops did NOTHING and he told lies on the reports.
We have been going through this for almost two months now! I don't even know if this is going to be safe to send out without him knowing about it. I am putting and anti-spyware on my computer, but not sure that it will help with his kind of hacking and spying.
How can we stop this guy? HELP!
Thanks.

I would say you have to bring it up with the local authorities. I'm not sure how the local government structure in your place but we have like a neighborhood captain that takes care of matters like that. If worse, I would report it to the police. I mean, a community is suppose to be healthy for everyone and not just for somebody's benefit.

There were people from a church that did a prayer walk and prayed around the parking lot, from the sidewalk, and we didn't have music until last night. There were several calls placed to the police. After the call would come in, the band would go on "break." There has to be someone at dispatch letting him know that he was called on. Again, no one came out.
We just got a new Mayor and he is already working on getting a new police chief and then "cleaning" house.

Good! Let him get tired of it. Maybe he will be able to do something.

I think that first you have to organize. Maybe write a text in protest to this situation and get the signatures of as many as possible people of the neighbourhood.
Then you could hand this document to the local authorities and also to a place of higher level, in case the locals are corrupt too. You could alert the press too.
It would not be easy and you need a small group of people to run this but hopefully you can succeed.

I do not understand why the other people want to wait. It seems to me, if the guy is innocent, he is innocent and calling in the press in regards to the matter will not make any difference. The press will watch them, tape them, etc. so you have nothing to worry about. They will get the story, do not worry. They will dig for the truth and find it. This is money and ratings for them, so they will find out what is going on and get to the bottom of it.
Is there a relative or friend in another area of town or outside of town you can go to, and call the press and send them emails regarding it? That way if he is listening at least he will not hear your conversation about it, and they may just catch him off guard.

We have a neighbor that is going to start a neighborhood watch just for our street. I do have videos and I am going to keep doing that also.
The guy had the one neighbor's computer hacked into, they are working on getting the paperwork that it was hacked and working on by whom.
We think now he has listening devises that he can set on the patio and listen to what we say, so we go to the sidewalk and whisper about things in a small group.
We don't want to get the news involved cause that might give him more business, and we don't want that.

Maybe you can contact the county about it. They are the next step up. Definitely contact your state representatives. You can also get a petition going around the neighborhood for everyone to sign to try to put him out of business, but it sounds like he is pretty dirty and it may lead to some trouble for the signers.
Have you spoken yet to your council and mayor? Perhaps if you get a couple of folks to go to the next council meeting and complain, they may be able to do something about it. It is a slow process though, so do not expect an overnight miracle. It is unfortunate you have to live like this. I truly hope something breaks very soon so this will end. How utterly frightening that no one can even walk by the place. He is more than likely up to no good and illegal activities are going on.

We just got a new Mayor yesterday. County says it is a local problem. He totally freak out on someone the night before last for walking across his parking lot. He called them the N word and then someone thought that they heard him say "White Power!" I hope not because we are a mixed area and the neighbors are all close to each other. This guy is I guess mob related also. Really not up to any good.
We did have a small miracle for about a week. There were some people from a church that came out and did a prayer walk around the area and prayed on the edge of his parking lot and we had a really nice quiet week, until last night.

Hopefully the new mayor will do something. It is possible this bar is being watched. The police don't like to make a move on something like this until they have a lot of evidence, and charges to bring against the guy. Meanwhile, the more you and your neighbors officially complain, call and bring charges against him (such as that guy for being assaulted) the better chance there is this place will be put out of existence soon.
What a nightmare! I hope the prayer team comes back around; it sure sounds like that did help a bit.

I think, if the local police aren't doing anything about it, it might be time to take it to the state, because eventually, someone will be able to help you. There is no way that it is legal for any of this to be happening, and it is your right to feel safe in your own home. Try to take pictures, videos, and overall collect evidence of what is going on, so if you are able to talk to someone who is able to help you, they will have something to go on.
