how do we get good christian?

some people say that a good christian follows what the bible say....but how can we sure that your doing in what it says to the bible...must of us say that we need to do that,but the question is "are we really doing that things"?

The bible, for a large part, has been editted heavily throughout history. I think taking individual passages of the bible and following them is dangerous.
I think a good christian should appreciate what Jesus taught - the principle. Love and compassion for everyone.
As for the bible, read and digest it, but as it is too open for interrpretation (due to language translation, historic editting, etc), no single part should be too heavily emphasised. =)
