Is there a trend for people to be less polite? Do you think? I mean of course a lot of people are still very polite, I will not disagree with that, but a lot seem to be just selfcentered and impolite. Or has that always been the case?

I've always admired the polite people, people with good manners, but not taken to extremes ...
Rarely meet men who pull your chair when you sit down, open the door to your car, give you arm ... to give you a place in transportation. I guess politeness you to everyone, how you were educated and if you want to be a respected man.

I have noticed a trend in rudeness also. It seems people don't have respect for each other any more. I do still find a few polite people, but they are usually older people. The world is so corrupt and everyone's lives are so hectic, that people don't stop and think about being polite or respectful anymore. Everything is a rush, and it get tings done and worry about everything else later.

So far, here in our province, i seldom encounter impolite persons. If there are, it was not really intentional and they would apologize with it immediately.
In my opinion, politeness is a contagious trait. If you see a polite person, you will be ashamed not to follow. Do you think so too?

Well it depends to the environment that they grew up with.I remember in my Psychology class,my professor taught us that to understand human behavior is to track down his or her history(environment and family). If a person grew up with thugs then there is a big possibility that he will a thug=).That might be the case for less polite people as well.
