im so confused about the meaning of life

i heard somewhere that the meaning of life is 42 and im wondering if anyone knows what that means. please explain it in as simple as you can.

You create your own meaning of life. If you think your life is beautiful, then that's the meaning of it. But if you think life is awful, life means awful. As of the number 42, i'm confused with that. Maybe they are pertaining to age because they say life begins at 40.
