It's always been like this! When I don't want to be number 1, I get picked to be number 1!
My professor in one of my subjects in graduate school has arranged our reporting schedule by using draw lots. I don't like reporting and I really hate to be the first reporter! And it feels like fate is toying with me because my professor picked my name as the first reporter!
This always happen to me! Back in college and high school, there were many times that I get to be the first reporter! And here in graduate school, it is still the same! So far there have been only two reportings in all my classes and this is the second one, and with all the bad luck in the world, I get to be first in both. .

Hi secretbear!
Even if I hate to be the first people to present the report I made but I like the positive of it as I can finish it faster than others. I hate to be the last person to have the presentation because i hate to see my friends happy faces because they done with it and they tend to not listen to your content of speech. So my conclusion I like to be the first even if I hate it because I want them to see my happy face as I done it and have nothing to worry about!!(^^)

Yeah! That's the only consolation of the first one. I also don't like to be the last because I hate to wait for my turn. The pressure and tension are more than being the first!

Well, there's nothing wrong being in the first to report though i dun want to be among the first few either.. lol =D However, i would prefer to be the last so that i'm able to finish up my report, taking reference from the ones who has already presented.. haha Maybe u should put your luck into lottery, who knos u might win the jackpot, the first prize?? haha

Me, too. I'd rather go second than first!

Well when I was in school which was a long time ago, they always went by the alphabet, so because my last name started with a B, I was always one of the first two or three to get called first to do something in class. I always hated that, I always wished my name started with a different letter..lol.

When they pick that way I'm safe because I'd be in the middle.

During College I was having a bad luck regarding reporting but I always prepared, I guess so. I hate being the last, for me being the first one to report in class has been very frustrating and stressful since you are the first example of the class on how they will regard their reports when it is their turn. As the first one you should give quality to your reports and you must be really really ready for it. The last one is more stressful as everyone has been rested and just watching for you to get through. Even at work I am the first one to report as everyone is so shy to give their reports. I get used to it anyway.

Hi grecy! Long time no see!
Wow, you're lucky you got used to it. I think I will never get used to it! ^^ I always prefer to report in the middle, or maybe the second one.

I am about the same. I hate to be the first one to do anything and I always hated it in school. Now, as an adult, I don't find that it happens too much.

I can relate to that. My professors way back in my University usually all use the same scheme in asking students to answer questions. They shuffle the class card and pick out the name of the person whom they want to answer the question. It was the same in law school. Every time i wish not to be picked, it's always my name being called. But i learned to live with it so instead of getting nervous all the time i just studied harder.
I loved reporting and i always wanted to go first.

Can you share me your love for reporting? Yeah, that will be my strategy. I will prepare starting tomorrow so by Tuesday, I'm prepared.

I can understand you. Our teachers do the same too, they write numbers or tells us to pick cards in order to know who goes first. But thank god I never have to be the one to go first, I never get the #1 or the last one. I'm always at the middle. But the funny thing is, we have this guy in our class who just loves being the first one to do it so he just changes it with whoever is first and does it gladly too haha!!

You are so me. Everything always turns out worse than expected. It was always get chosen to go first for something you did not want to do or were not prepared to do; or get chosen to go last and as a result of all the other presentations, forget what you were to say. When i get that position there is nothing more i can do than to say "really?" to fate. All in all you have to make the best of what you get, though.

Hi Triapod! I'm thankful that at least I have time to prepare. And after I have reported, I'll just be relaxing in my seat while the rest of my classmates take their turns.
