Big breakfast or small?

I was curious what kind of breakfast everyone eats? Do you always eat a big breakfast or just a small one? Do you skip breakfast? I hope not! It's the most important meal. I usually just eat cereal or a poptart on weekdays. On occasion I will just eat some fruit. On the weekends I like to cook a big breakfast. Biscuits, chocolate gravy, eggs, meat. Sometimes we do pancakes or grits. So what does everyone else do for breakfast?

Breakfast is not the meal that I skip. I eat heavy breakfast like rice and eggs. and usually with soup too because we like every meal to have a stew or soup.

I think it is the size of your pocket that determine your spending power on food such as breakfast, lunch, dinner, supper etc If you are a low income earner that means your breakfast table will have less food. You will not be able to buy more bread, margarine, cakes, biscuit etc But if you have a good job and less family responsibility then you can have all the money to throw around on food. I think the choice of any particular food you go for is determine by the income you earn and also the taste your family or you have for a particular choice of food.

I got to have a big carbohydrate breakfast. I hate it when in the middle of the hunger get between you and work. A big breakfast keeps me going. Should try it too because the tendency of overeating at lunch is lessened.

Depends on the day. Sometimes I eat a lot for breakfast, other times just a banana or some juice. It's all how you feel when you wake up in the morning.

I believe breakfast is the most important meal of the day. But my family and I don't eat much on breakfast because we usually rushing in the morning. We make it a point never to skip breakfast. Sometimes, a bowl of cereal, banana and coffee will do.

This discussion looks familiar so first off I want to say that if I have already posted a response I apologize for responding again. I eat breakfast every day now. I..for years..never ate breakfast and by the time a couple hours went by I was starving to the point that I felt sick. I had no energy and got a lot of headaches. Now I eat breakfast everyday and I don't feel sick when it wears off and I have to eat again. I also drink a lot of water now so that has helped my headaches as well as eating breakfast. And it doesn't have to be a big breakfast either. During the week all I have is a piece of toast with some peanut butter instead of just ordinary butter, on it. The protein in the peanut butter is really good for you and you should always eat a protein with a carb so it makes it easier on your digestive system, according to the dietician I have seen. Carbs are hard to digest apparently. And I have a small glass of milk, another protein. This will keep me going for about 2 1/2 hours. We are supposed to eat every 3 hours so I then am hungry again when the 3 hours are up. On the weekends I will eat a bigger breakfast. I usually am up for a couple hours first though, posting in mylot. like right now. I will be logging off soon and having breakfast and taking a shower. I am making bacon and scrambled eggs and toast for breakfast, and of course my small glass of milk. Cheers my friend and happy mylotting, Chris

Hi, cupcakes_n_starrs. I usually will have a small breakfast. I may have some grits, eggs and one sausage patty. Or I may have two strawberry waffles and some low acid orange juice in the mornings. I am not that much of an heavy eater in the mornings, but I love to eat breakfast that is fulfilling to my appetite.

Health experts say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. "Have breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper." Our metabolism slows down as the day goes on so its important that you have a good meal to start with. Personally, i try to prepare a good healthy breakfast, rice meal, and fruits but when I'm late or in a rush or too busy to prepare anything, I just eat a sandwich and thats it.

I mostly have either a bowl of cereal or fruit and toast. Sometimes I will go out to Paneras Bread Co. and have a fresh made bagel with cream cheese. Usually once over the weekend my husband and I will go have a breakfast buffet at Golden Corral Restaurant. Then I eat bacon, scrambled eggs, hash browns and biscuit and gravy. If I have a big breakfast then I eat very little the rest of the day. But I usually have toast and bottled peaches, or cantalope or watermelon.

I have eaten the same combination for years. Cottage cheese and fruit. I vary the fruit and at times have 3 or 4 fruits together. I always have canned pineapple (only in natural juice) in the cupboard and add whatever else I have fresh on hand. I also often keep frozen blueberries available. I especially like to add fresh bananas, strawberries, peaches to my pineapple and blueberries, papaya. Recently I added watermelon and it was terrific, who would have thought?? It is prepared very quickly and easily and is healthy and filling. I find it interesting that after all these years, I still am not tired of it. I only go off if I am on vacation. Then I always have scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, toast and Orange juice. That's my 'vacation breakfast' and it's yummy :)

Being pregnant is so rough in the morning! I use to have to eat saltines when I first woke because of sickness and hold off on eating till later.

I start my morning with a glass of Herbalife aloe water, then their tea, then my Herbalife shake in the flavor that I choose. Its the best way to start my day. I am full and bursting with natural energy!

It depends on my mood. If I am too lazy, I will just prepare myself a sandwich. On days when I feel a little energized, I will cook eggs and I will eat it with either bread or rice. Sometimes I even fry rice. Fried rice is my favorite. Sometimes if we have a stock of pancake, I'll cook pancake. If my mom bought some cereals, I will eat cereals. If my mom bought some oatmeal, I will eat oatmeal. That just depends!

I am fond of eating just fruits and fresh veggies for my breakfast but my husband prefers rice. His favorite is fried rice with fried milkfish and egg. I think men do love eating heavy breakfast but me I prefer just light breakfast and if ever I'd add some more I'd rather choose oat.

I usually don't have a heavy meal for breakfast because I am always on the go. I can barely eat a proper breakfast since I need to leave home early to avoid getting stuck in traffic and be late for work. But I eat my packed breakfast at my office usually an apple or bread or a biscuit.

I don't skip breakfast. As you have mention, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. You can eat anything nutritious during breakfast. They say that you should eat like a king during breakfast, since the food you will consume will be use by your body for the whole day. I always see to it that I have a complete breakfast and that is with my favorite brown rice, boiled egg, chicken or pork, banana and milk tea and these would keep my day.
